Welcoming Season Three is amazing! I am so excited to bring this special season of green growth, hope, and creativity to you — and it's perfectly situated in the spring months. It’s a season to grow gratitude, too — as the world continues to swirl and uncertainties are guaranteed, this season and the beauty that Home has become seems to be more important than ever.
Creating Home is the theme this season. It’s the first season I expand beyond the walls of Jacksonville, Florida; I introduce the people and places in my life who cause the experience of HOME — because of who they are, their talents, their commitment to live boldly, with humor and heart, and make every space feel like an invitation — like coming HOME. A lot of the people you’ll hear from this season are why I feel at home — in my life and in my work, successes and celebrations and also through struggles and challenges. The season is full of authentic conversations with creatives who have blessed me with the experience of Home through the decades. These are some of my dearest friends and colleagues, teachers and inspirations.
In this solo episode, I share five practices for creating and returning home. With simple things to remember, we have the opportunity to shift the space that matters the very most. Home is where the heart is. So what better creative act than to soften the heart and soften the home?
Although home is a physical space that has the ability to awaken our senses, it also represents a space where we can just be ourselves with the ones we love most. This season is a combination of solo and guest episodes that invite listeners into the experience of creating home within the walls of your house and within the relationships that matter most to you.

It has been an amazing season full of extraordinary guests who have shared their life through telling their story. The Season Two Finale episode is here!
Service is one of the most beautiful ways to share our creativity; and in this final episode of Season Two, I share highlights from my guests who have made service their way of life. It was my intention for Season Two to highlight guests who serve through their creativity and these episodes have been full of service-driven acts. I loved this season full of upgraded creative conversations, and I hope you have, too.
I also share about the most common question I received during Season Two: why are you doing this? I’m excited to share more on the why behind One Creative Act and what continues to unfold for me through this podcast passion project. My hope is to leave you with insight from Season Two guests, their stories of serving in creative ways, and how we each have a gift to share that can serve others. Remembering why is the first step to stay fueled to serve. And what I’m learning is that creativity and fulfillment of service compares to nothing else in life.
We will take a short break to prepare for Season Three that begins Thursday, April 7, 2022. During the break, I would love for you to enjoy the 15 episodes of Season Two. Take action to serve. And please stay connected with me through my website livebigfishco.com and @onecreativeact
Thank you for listening and continuing to support One Creative Act!! I am inspired by all that we are here to create — and the secret is service!

Almost 10 years ago, I knew Caitlin as a cool, surfer girl. And she still is; but what has changed is her confidence in claiming the life she wanted to create. And so she did.
Cait pursued and has created an intentional, simple life in Puerto Rico and lives her choice in gratitude. She grew up surfing from age 8; and after her 21st birthday, she was drawn to the physical practice of yoga. With a little encouragement, Cait said yes to yoga teacher training in her hometown of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and experienced yoga and surfing as a powerful partnership for her life.
Today, she shares how her choices have created her life of simplicity and health and how choosing simplicity can be just as much work to cultivate as a life of complexity.
Social media platforms, as well as the online growth through the pandemic, has expanded Cait’s perspective to teach yoga virtually. She has created and recorded classes for both The Salty Club App/online platform, as well as for RAD Roller's Mobility App. She is currently working on creating short pre-recorded classes available on her website, sunburntandsalty.com . Cait lives with her fiance and has attracted her parents into the lifestyle of Rincon. Her love for family, simplicity, and adventure are matched with her committed practices to live healthy, move daily and embrace being a contribution where she lives in serving others.

Photographer, painter, creative. Marilia Capeli is many things — beautiful and brave are at the top of the list. At a young age, Marilia flew to Jacksonville, Florida, away from her family and home in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She came to the US for school and began a creative journey. She took risks and steered herself in the direction of what her deep intuition and listening kept telling her — she was a Creative and there was no stopping her.
Currently, as the staff photographer of Natural Life, a national lifestyle brand synonymous with passionate dreamers and bohemian inspired decor, Marilia is the epitome of the American dream — hard work, committed to the process — and it almost looks like it all landed in her lap. But challenges are nothing new to her; and none of this happened easily. Hers is a story of commitment, passion, and vision. She works with private clients, as well, with a keen eye for creating thoughtful, inspired therapeutic images — her clients love the love and beauty she captures.
Through trusting the process, honoring her father, and committed to work to make her dreams come true, Marilia graduated from college, got her Masters Degree and successfully obtained her green card. She directs her steps from strengthening her listening to herself and shares how much family — especially her father — has been part of her growth in remembering what she loves. Her lens is pointed in the right direction.

With heart and soul for what she brings to the world, Jessica Diebel creates sustainable purpose with every chocolate bar. From bean to bar, her passion and desire to make a quality product while educating others on the beauty of the process are clearly expressed in her sharing and knowledge.
Makenu Chocolate — a bean to bar chocolate shop in Atlantic Beach, Florida — is a result of faith and patience, vision, sustainability, and beauty. And every visit to the shop along with every taste provides a little touch of chocolate therapy. Growing up in the Jacksonville, Florida beaches, like a lot of adventurous spirits, she moved away to discover just how special home really was. Returning is part of her story — returning to recognize the beauty of Jacksonville and the beaches, along with family and deep rooted friendships. Her love for home and family with a big vision for her bean to bar chocolate shop was born in 2020.
Jess’ previous life was as a therapist. Her psychology background and soft demeanor hold a natural attraction. And her knowledge for chocolate is crystal clear when she starts talking about her sweet craft.

Friends are life’s treasures. And today, I’m with one of my best, Rachel Roberts Mattox. She’s the CEO of Oyl and Water, a beauty brand development and marketing agency; she contributed in Season One to the podcast and I wanted her back to discuss 2021. We share our reflection and completion of 2021. Specifically, we wanted to talk about our learnings — what we gained because of 2021; and also the things we leave in 2021. We used the word breakdown — because isn’t it really a breakdown when things don’t go the way you want them to go? And what we each recognize is without breakdowns, the deeper learning for life may not be born. What is born is a breakthrough.
We shared today our breakdowns and the void that remained because of them — but ultimately the learning and greatness that we bring with us into 2022 because of those very things that challenged us last year.
Deepened conversation is one of the most creative mediums there is. In fact, we each left this episode complete with 2021, deeper in our friendship and excited to create 2022. The invitation is that you, too, sit down with a good friend, allow for space and time to share and listen in a deepened conversation so you can hear yourself and each other acknowledge the work you put into last year; and your insights and wisdom that you’ve gained because of living during an amazing time in the world.

Todd McCullough is no novice to physical work. As an athlete and starting linebacker at the University of Florida, he lived strong, fit and motivated — but it took leaving the corporate world of finance and recognizing how much his body was hurting from his previous athletic life to dig deep into his faith and passion. A move to Santa Monica, California and one request from his hairdresser in Beverly Hills, he launched TMAC Fitness in 2009. Today, Todd and his team have reached more than 30,000 individuals with his 20-minutes-a-day virtual fitness membership platform.
In our conversation, he generously and transparently shares his business, growth, consistency and how he’s built a model that works. He’s learned from every step along the way and says none of it has been wasted. He uses his past knowledge of finance and his ongoing passion for fitness to expand TMAC Fitness into something accessible and approachable for anyone. He doesn’t ask people to change their life. He asks people to move and make life about others.
His attitude for life is infectious. His joy in serving others is apparent in every workout. His virtual platform is impeccably designed, easy to use from anywhere and affordable. Designed for the beginner and offering advanced options, TMAC workouts are well-rounded providing high interval training, sweat, stretch, and stillness. Get moving with Todd and experience life differently.

Hey ya’ll. I am Mary Lyn Jenkins and I am a lifelong creative and use every medium possible to stir myself and others. This second season of the podcast has been an opportunity to UP the game of creativity and introduce service as the most meaningful way to use our creativity. I’m best known for training and coaching individuals to stand in love and choice and find their voice and do the thing they must do; and I love extraordinary stories of overcoming hardship - especially when creativity caused the breakthrough. As a multi-passionate entrepreneur and momma, I write, speak, coach, design, and am on a constant quest for beauty and my own personal development.
This episode, I’m going solo. It is my Christmas wish sprinkled with some easy creative acts to bring into your relationships and daily steps. “Remember, no man is a failure who has friends.” This season, and always, see one another with spiritual eyes and put others before yourself. Deepened relationship might just be the end result. Here's some ways to incorporate loving others, having fun (my first favorite things party!) and being for others throughout the season and beyond.

Chapters in our life are always changing. After playing soccer professionally and dabbling in a number of marketing jobs, Kat Casey founded her first agency in 2007. Continuing to create, the uncertain chapter of cancer hit Kat on June 24, 2014. She woke up from passing out on her condo floor in indescribable pain and having trouble breathing. She ended up in the ER and heard the words, “You have cancer.”
Her story is one of choice of attitude and a commitment to win through the uncertainty. Surrounded by family and friendship, Kat found her new ‘normal’ through nine months of chemotherapy to be her involvement with work, friends, and a good glass of wine. Her sense of normalcy — friends and a glass of wine which she cleverly named her ‘chemo noir nights’ — became the inspiration for her passion project and nonprofit organization, Chemo Noir.
In 2016, Chemo Noir was born — a growing 501c3 nonprofit organization. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, hosts wine centric events that raise money to provide financial support to the families, friends and fighters in their battle with cancer. Hear her amazing story and her commitment to win through paying it forward for families who need it.
