  • Pick a Left Guard, Any Left Guard
It is understood that LG is an area of concern for the offensive line, and Paul outlines the open competition that could continue right up to kick-off. Devery Hamilton, Jack Anderson, even rookie Joshua Ezeudu are all potential fill-in starters with Shane Lemieux on the shelf,

  • Joe Schoen: A whole pot of sauce and meatballs that just doesn't add up!
Moving on from older players is one thing, but Shaun simply cannot wrap his head around the decision and timing of releasing veteran linebacker Blake Martinez. Paul offers some potential explanations, none of which satisfy Shaun, who sees this as a black mark on Joe Schoen's resume. Paul offers a Wink Martindale angle to soften the blow of losing a veteran talent.

  • No Captain, No roster. No trust, No Steve Smith
Paul Dottino reminds Giants fans the role the player selections may have had in the Blake Martinez departure, which has Shaun reflecting on another former Giant who found himself off Big Blue following injury concerns.

  • New look secondary for Big Blue, key injured players and Darius Slayton makes the 53
Shaun Morash and Paul Dottino are back in following the flurry of waiver claims and roster moves for Big Blue! With a distant timeline for Shane Lemieux's return from injury, Joe Schoen added Jack Anderson, a young interior lineman that Paul can't rule out starting the season for the Giants. The addition of DB Jason Pinnock, along with the arrival of veteran Tony Jefferson confirms a secondary in much need of depth as well as a desire to not put rookie Dane Belton in over his head too early.
Shaun and Paul may agree that the roster can still see more changes, however things get a little contentous when Paul calls Wan'Dale Robinson a contingency play for Ladarius Toney.
Shaun also brings up the cap space sized elephant in the room, which may require an extension for Leonard Williams, a not-so-terrible path to ca relief for the Giants.

  • Blake Martinez on the outs, Darius Slayton remains and Leonard Williams fixes the cap?
Is there something more to Blake Martinez not being names Captain? Shaun can't imagine the players don't know who he is in the locker room, while Paul offers a scheme based perspective that could find the veteran ILB in a reduced role.
Darius Slayton... is still here. And that's fine by Paul Dottino!
The ca remains an issue, but is Joe Schoen's solution as simple as extending Leonard Williams?

  • Which positions are deep and where will the New York Giants go shopping ahead of Tuesday cutdown
Shaun Morash and Paul Dottino have teamed up to bring the Big Blue faithful the most in-depth coverage of the New York Football Giants! With the preseason wrapped, the focus now becomes the process of cutting down to the final, or possibly "first" 53-man roster.
On their first show together, it's all business as Joe Schoen made preemptive roster moves ahead of Tuesday 4:00PM deadline. While Brian Daboll may have given a eyebrow raising response to the media's Kenny Golladay questions, the One Giant Step hosts see the WR group as a deep position. That said, Shaun and Paul agree Kenny Golladay will need to find his form this season if Daniel Jones is too flourish.
Will Quincey Roche or Oshane Ximines be cut, or could they both make it through? Also, with the secondary needing potential help, will it be through a waiver claim or possible a free agent talent like Desmond Truant? One thing is for certain, as over 30% of players league wide find themselves on the waiver wire, the New York Giants are set to see a major influx of talent from outside the building.

  • More Safeties, less corners and just two Tight Ends?
Paul Dottino watches the Giants, he sees the practices, he knows the scheme - he is bullish on Arron Robinson, believes Wink Martingale wants another Safety, and might be convinced two Tight Ends could fit the bill for the Brian Daboll/Mike Kafka offense.

  • Kenny Golladay and a bunch of Smurfs
Could Kenny Golladay be cut? No way, as a matter of fact he is as important as ever to the success of Daniel Jones and the Giants offense this season.
