  • Anatomy of a Song | Dark Before the Dawn

Welcome back to Anatomy of a Song! The show where we tear open the guts of a song and explain, in detail, why they look (sound?) like that. On today's episode we have the writing team behind our latest musical, "The Good Ship Antiphony" here to discuss the collaborative process of creating the music of that episode, and in particular the songs "Dark Before the Dawn" and "Adrift at Sea" which were both written by Morgan Hollingsworth.

If you like what we do here at One Million Musicals, please consider leaving us a rating and a review, and sharing this episode on your social media! We want to spread the word of our show as much as possible, and you can help us do just that!

  • "Hella in Your Thirties" Auditions for One Million Musicals

This week we reach DEEP into the 1MM vault to bring you never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes audio from our very real and not at all staged audition process. Way back when 1MM was just starting up, we held auditions for our very first musical, "How to Be Spooky." Luckily for us, some truly remarkable talents came along to audition. In this episode, we share with you two such talents: Nick Casalini and Muriel Montgomery, the minds and voices behind the stupidly funny podcast, "Hella in Your Thirties."

Note: This episode is NOT FOR KIDS. We bleeped the swear words, but we discuss some *ahem* ADULT themes. Listener discretion is advised.

About Hella in Your Thirties: Are you hella in your thirties? Of course you are! Join Nick Casalini and Muriel Montgomery (comedians who married each other) as they explore tactics new and old, joyful and terrible, for conquering the dirty thirties. Ever heard of a V-Steam? Tried Juicing? Had vitamin B12 injected into your body? Nick and Muriel try these things and more – why? Because being an adult is a glorious mystery! Every week is a new adventure into exercise, dieting, feeling good, backsliding, leaping ahead and drunken house cleaning. Let’s Party!
