Beer Camp #8, Episode 22

We launch into our next edition of the Beer Camp series from Serra Nevada (SURPRISE!).  This is a collaboration with Three Floyds, out of Chicago.  Chico King Pale Ale is the name and it is a hopped up pale ale.

Even with a flow chart we don’t know where Eric is going with this podcast.  We learn what it’s like listening to a 3rd grader reading, because Eric can’t stop reading.  We have a deep analysis of the hipster movement.  It should be said that we are not an education podcast.

Through this exploration we hardly review the beer, but learn very valuable information like; Goat beats Gnome, Firken Smashes Goat, and Gnome Quaffs Firken.  We also find that Wayne snorts on his birthday, while Adam does not go Village People.

Beer Camp #7, Episode 21

We start out a little distorted for this edition of our Beer Camp tour.  Jumping right back into the 7th beer, that is an English Bitter collaboration with New Glarus brewing.

After that we go no where fact, way too focused on our drinking.  When we do start talking, we can’t drop the Tide references, Eric develops a lisp, non-sequitur Star Wars references, and double entendre poop jokes.

On the lighter side of things we discuss military maneuvers during the winter makes for interesting latrine duty and delve into the product development practices of the pharmaceutical industry

Episode 20

We take break from our Beer Camp road trip (thank god/goddess/non-god/dog) and go a little Dark.

As the saying goes, once you go……barrel, you never go back.  Barrel aged, 2014 Darkness is our journey today.  The team conducts a very scientific study of global warming based on the long history of our attendance of Darkness Day eve.  During the 2014 Darkness Day eve event, Pete almost freezes to death, sort of.

Also in this episode, you don’t miss Adam’s parking saga.  Riveting.  Eric can’t help name drop his cellar, again.  Terry Foy makes an appearance and he didn’t even know it.  A harpy descends on the podcast.  Admin loses his phone and gets grilled for it.  The term Storm Sewer Archeologist is invented, along with a new stout, Russian ruffie stout (not ok, NOT OK!).  While Untappd is Eric’s savior, Wayne hugs Adam.

Beer Camp #6

Another adventure on our in-room road tour of the 2014 Beer Camp series. Fire up the diving bell, we’re headed deep with this Torpedo Pils. Yeah, that’s the name of it,which is a collaboration between Sierra Nevada and Firestone. Oh, Firestone, what nice boxes their beloved special editions come it.

Yes, we still make Tide reference, but Eric learns “new math”. Adam also shares his Crayola trivia with a little history lesson. Not to be outdone by Adam, Wayne realized we weren’t drinking wine.

Beer camp #5

Our journey continues, in a can. Yes, the next installment of our Bee Camp trip in delivered in a can; a “can-fusion” as it were. This collaboration is with Oscar Blues, a producer of some of more enjoyed beers. What comes in the can is a Rye Bach. We weren’t sure what that would taste like either and we almost didn’t find out.

This episode just wouldn’t get off the ground. Once it did, however, Wayne pokes his eye out, nearly, and we delve into his Catholic up bringing. Yes, it is a very thought clearing episode.

The 2014 Beer Camp tour continues with stop #4 at Yonder Bock(TM), a tropical maibock collaboration between Sierra Nevada and Cigar City.   This episode 17 (AKA the Sin Flute Episode), we modestly classify it as one of the “Best Of” episodes.

We do your part with a PSA about the sun and declare Florida a tropic state.  It is our way of giving back to the community.  You will hear Adam having a Wayne Out of Body experience (whatever that means).

We continue tour 2014 Beer Camp tour with Alt Route, Serra Nevada’s a collaboration with Victory brewing.

In this episode we explore the nuances of Minnesota’s speech patterns through the proper pronunciation of Itasca and Eric learns how to pronounce Imp.  Wayne admits he’s half centaur and takes a nap.  All the while we conduct an in-depth review of New York’s BYOB law, well as in-depth as Google and without an attorney will provide.

 

We continue our Beer Camp series tour and discuss the finer points of brewery marketing strategies around the collaboration between Sierra Nevada and Ballast Point.  During which, we discover so many things about each other and avoid a historic tragicomedy.

We undercover a conspiracy of web masters working against Eric, Wayne is finally invited to the podcast, We discover Adam’s fear of clowns with weed-beady eyes, and Jason finally tells Wayne to shut-up, again.

Adam almost, tragically loses two friends, but we found them for him as comic relief.
