Chasing perfection? Striving to feel close to God? Fruit doesn’t come from effort—it comes from connection.
This week, Pastor Roy concludes the "I Am" series with Jesus’ final declaration in John 15: “I am the true vine.” In a world that celebrates independence and self-sufficiency, Jesus invites us into something deeper—a shift from an “I” mentality to a connected, relational way of life rooted in us.
Jesus calls us to abide in Him—not to prove ourselves, but to stay close to the source of life. In a culture obsessed with personal gain and comparison, we often lose sight of our purpose. Fruit isn’t meant for the branch that bears it—it’s meant to nourish others. When we’re connected to Jesus, the fruit of our lives becomes a blessing to the people around us.
When we abide in Christ, our lives naturally begin to produce the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and more. This fruit is not about striving, but about staying connected. And at the heart of that connection is a Father who delights not just in you, but in everyone around you.
This week, remember: you are not too broken, too thorny, or too distant. You are the center of God’s delight. And when you remain in His love, your life will bear the kind of fruit that continues to bless and refresh those around you.
