This week we are in Acts 4 looking at the apostles and early believers (who gave all that they had for the spreading of the message of the resurrection of Jesus) and asking what we today, as the church making up one body, can learn from them.

This week we talk deep concepts like the saving and sending of people through Pentecost, the creator becoming part of His creation to redeem it, and the difference between wanting to KNOW and be with God and wanting to BE or replace God. 

This week we discuss Jesus' Great Commission and 'get real' about what making disciples actually looks like... even when we feel (and often are) inadequate for that command and purpose.

This week we look at the disbelief of Thomas when the disciples told him that they had seen Jesus, and the incredible moment when Jesus appeared to him.  What can we learn from this about our own times of doubt, and better yet, what does this passage show us about Jesus' posture towards us even in such times of doubt and disbelief? 

This week look at the account in the gospel of Luke of the events with Jesus on the road to Emmaus and the pivotal importance of Word and Sacrament not only in that story, but also in our very own lives and in the life of the church.

This week we discuss the paradoxical nature of the cross of Jesus - how something so brutal and heinous resulting in DEATH brought about something beautiful and virtuous resulting in LIFE.

It's no secret that people in general hold many differing opinions over things big and small, even within the Church(church) amongst Christians.  This week as we look at the Last Supper, we reflect on the bigger picture of unity that Christ is calling us to... even in our diversity.

We are in Luke 9 this week talking about discipleship and following Jesus in the way He actually taught.  The challenge.  The tension.  The cost.

This week we talk about the Law - how it can seem crushing or causes us to become self-righteous.  BUT, because Jesus came to fulfill the law, we are now free from those suppositions and invited into a new way of seeing God's law, no longer as an obligation, but as a beautiful opportunity.

Do we have faith that when we bring people into the presence of Jesus, something beautiful, redemptive, and restorative is going to happen? And, if so, what then wouldn't we do...?
