This week we talk about the hope we have that God entered into the mess of sin and the rebellion of creation to dwell among it, taking our humanity upon Himself, so that we would not be left in our despair and abandoned in our brokenness.  

This week we are in the book of Amos as we discuss true restorative justice that only the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers.   We also talk about Amos's reference to himself as a 'dresser of sycamore figs' (one who tends to sycamore trees and pierces the figs to help them ripen and sweeten), and how that can serve as a good metaphor in our own lives as we 'hear the word of the Lord.'

Jonah struggled with God forgiving and saving the people of Nineveh.  So, this week we wrestle that in application to our own lives, how we view the sin of others, and ask the question, "Does forgiveness end with us, or does it also pass through us to others?"

This week we look at what we can learn from the account of God speaking to Elijah at Horeb, and what that shows us about the connection between His word and His sending of people.  Also... there is a special beginning and end to this one...

This week we look at sin by contrasting the sin of King Solomon to King David.  By today's standards, one may be considered more grievous than the other, but we challenge that notion and discuss why the outcome of both was so distinctive.

This week, while looking at Solomon building and dedicating the temple,  we compare how the Israelites viewed it (and where they went wrong) to how we view (or should view) our worship spaces today.   

You may have heard (especially around St. Andrew) the Psalms referred to as the 'songbook of the Old Testament'.  On this episode, we look at how we might integrate them musically into our devotional lives.  This week, we encourage YOU to sing!
