This week Adam will walk us through how pride grows because we crave independence and self- sufficiency, yet we are called to depend on God in humility.

Main Points:

Signs you're carrying the Baggage of Pride...

• Frequently putting all of the attention on yourself
• Struggling to empathize with the sorrows of others
• Feeling self-pity when you’re not praised
• Constantly considering what others think of you
• Avoiding people who are better than you at something
• Easily finding flaws in others

How to drop the Baggage of Pride...

• Ditch working on your reputation and start working on your reality. 
• Be your real self and not your ideal self
• Stop being the center of it and start being the beginning of it. 

This week Adam will walk us through how jealousy ruins relationships, but Jesus offers restoration when we leave the heavy baggage of envy at his feet.

• Push people into a pit
• Sell them to slavery
• Then into small spaces

The Carry-on of Giving allows you to...

• Push not pull
• Be grateful not spiteful
• Have vision for your future, not lay in your lies
• Learn from life, not be a victim of life

Application Point:

• Think of one person you find yourself jealous of. Pray for them, and see yourself as a valuable, unique, and necessary part of the body of Christ.

This first week Adam will walk us through remembering we are not meant to carry the weight of bitterness and anger, but we can trade them for freedom and peace.

Application Point:

• Jesus offers us freedom and peace in exchange for the bitterness and anger we experience. Identify a person who has hurt you, and set down the baggage of bitterness by beginning to pray for them—or for God to help you to pray for them.

This week Bud Kula led us in how to answer why a student should read the Bible and give them practical steps into learning how to read the Bible. Psalm 1:1-3

This Wednesday Mark Hobson focused on the question “How do I make a difference?”. This episode points to Jesus and those who came before, that even though they are young, they can set an example by the life they live and help make a difference in the world. (1 Timothy 4:12).
