November 29, 2020Ep 52 - Breaking Mental Health Stigma with Jess & Sav from LearntMyLessonIn between the storytime and endless laughs is some quality content surrounding mental health. Jess and Sav choose to be extremely raw, honest and vulnerable on their podcast and now on mine too!⠀Through sharing their personal experiences they hope to open up conversations surrounding mental health and all the uncomfortable feelings that come along with it. Regardless of so many people sharing these positive messages there is still a stigma around discussing your struggles.⠀People still hesitate to reach out, be honest, cry and everything in between. I consider my mental health to be #1 over everything. You can’t have your life together until you understand your mind and can work with it rather than against it.⠀These chats aren’t easy but Jess and Sav do such a great job of speaking so fluently. I cannot wait for everyone to listen especially because above all they’re just so much fun!⠀Make sure you check out my episode on their podcast as well and ask yourself and others;⠀How are you, really?Find more of us here:http://theoneupproject.nz/ https://www.instagram.com/theoneupproject/https://linktr.ee/theoneupproject Want to get in touch directly?[email protected]Thanks so much for your support and listening it means so much to me! October 25, 2020Ep 47 - How Podcast Guests have Transformed my Thinking & Perspective in 2020Recently I’ve had some time to reflect on decisions I’ve made over the year so far 🧐⠀I’ve always been a really ambitious person, who doesn’t see much as impossible. In saying that - I am young and still overly wary of making the “wrong” decision. My desire to take risks wasn’t as strong as it is now and honestly I put that down to starting a podcast! 🎙✨⠀Some of us are lucky to find mentors in life, whether that’s teachers, family, friends parents’, bosses etc. Sometimes though it can be really hard to find people older than you who you resonate with. I have been lucky enough to have 30 min mentoring sessions all throughout the year in the form of episodes and share them with you!⠀Through osmosis I’ve made so many shifts in mindset without even realising. Maybe some of you have as well? I wanted to highlight exactly what those things were and examples of how I’m practising those changes in my life!⠀Among all the money stuff I’ve come to understand that the thinking behind it is just as important and investing in yourself should be something we all prioritise in whatever form seems right for you 💥⠀What’s a stand out message you’ve taken from the pod this year? 🥂...more34minPlay
