Only Bombs! Comedy Podcast

Drew Nickens pulls up to Only Bombs and we get into all of it. 💣 Drew is originally from Washington but made his way to the DFW comedy scene where he spent years grinding, figuring out his identity on stage, and doing everything right without getting booked. After weeks of showing up, he finally got pulled on Kill Tony and everything changed. 💥

What makes Drew special isn't just the laughs though. Dude dealt with a brain injury that made the whole journey that much harder and still figured it out on his own terms. Now he's a nationally touring comic with fans all over the country who know exactly who he is.

Smart, hilarious, and genuinely one of the good ones. Glad we got to sit down and chop it up. Thanks for coming on Drew! 💣💥

In this episode Yehee and I sit down for a nice conversation about her traveling here from Korea and navigating the comedy scene with cerebral palsy. She has made appearances on KillTony as well as Soft White Underbelly. Her disability has never stopped her from accomplishing her dreams and tackling things that most won't even start. This was a fun episode that I know you will enjoy watching, almost as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Thank you for coming on the show, Yehee! This was so much fun! - Trey

This is definitely a fun and hilarious episode! 💥 Lindsey brings her wonderful sense of humor onto the pod for her first solo episode but second appearance. She was here before with her husband, Trey Campbell (ep. 5! Check it out! 💣), and that was so fun as well!

Lindsey has made several appearances on Kill Tony and is always a treat to see. She also runs a Tuesday open mic in Austin at Mage's Sanctum. I have gone myself and bombed 💣 but the other comics were amazing, Lindsey included, so it will definitely be worth checking out if you're in the Austin area!

We got into so much in this one. Dark humor, her 11-day hospital stay, Kill Tony fame, pro wrestling, roller derby dreams and a whole lot more. Lindsey was so easy to talk to and the jokes just kept on coming. I love this episode, I know you will too! 💥 Lindsey, thank you so much for doing the show!

So this week I sit down with Killtony alum, G Pow. G Pow has been coming around the comedy clubs and making a name for himself here in Austin. Originally from New Jersey, G Pow brings his observational, semi-clean humor to the stage, and he’s undeniably funny! I certainly enjoyed the wonderful and humorous conversation we had, and I know you will too.

We once more get into different things that we both find funny and relate to comedians that we both share a love for! So strap on your suspenders and hang on, 'cause this is going to be a fun episode!

Thanks for doing the show, G Pow!

In this crazy episode that took several days of filming due to me having several jobs and my camera being messed up for some reason…. Solomon was super patient with me and the equipment issues that arose. Solomon has been in the Austin comedy scene for 3 years, with 3 appearances on KillTony. He hails from Pakistan and made his way to Austin by way of New York. This feller is a well-traveled, well-spoken individual with a wealth of knowledge from the theater. Solomon also has his project “Comedy Cowboys” (link below), where he interviews comedians around the Austin area. Go check it out! It was wonderful having Solomon over for the show! Thank you again, man, for not giving up on me during that camera crap. Enjoy the show!

This episode marks the milestone for the first-ever freestyle rap. It’s almost like I’m becoming “Trey In The Morning." I wonder if Eminem would come talk comedy? 🤔 Anyway, Trevor Ray and I have a conversation that spans across many topics. I learn some things about hockey, Chicago to Austin (coincidence?), and the similarities between comedy and music. This was such a fun episode to make happen. Thank you so much for being on the show, Trevor! - Trey

In this episode we go crazy! Jessica Misitano and myself have a conversation that truly goes on a Journey. She shares her opinions on the comedy scenes in Austin and Chicago. And her intense connection with Steve Perry. Hang on! Cause this episode switches gears like we are in the Tour de France.

In this episode Monarey and I have a discussion about her life and how comedy has played a part in it. She opens up about the LA, NYC, and Austin comedy scenes and shares her experience navigating them. This is such a great conversation, and as a newer comic, I really learned a lot. It was awesome having someone with so much experience share her story! Thanks for coming on the show, Monarey! - Trey

In this episode of cosmic comedy. KillTony star Keegan Carmychael and I go through the comedy ups and downs. Keegan has an awesome grasp on what comedy is, how he structures his jokes, and a unique way to remember long sets with one liners. This show was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot from Keegan. Stay tuned after the show for a special sneak peek at the greatest comedy in the galaxy.

Thanks for being on the show, Keegan!
