12/31/21 - From the end of year service at Glady Baptist Church.

Mankind, because of his inability to keep the commandments of God, was under the curse of the law: guilty, spiritually dead, and without hope of righteousness. Therefore, God sent His only begotten into the world to be made a curse for us. The sins of the world were imputed onto Christ, that he alone would bear the penalty of death as our substitution, and Christ's righteousness is imputed unto us, that we could be the sons of God.

12/26/21 - The Lord exhorts us to pray with importunity, because God is not like the unjust judge, or friend on this earth. God knows how to give the Holy Spirit unto those that ask.

12/26/21 - Though faced with many troubles, the church of the living God has much to look unto for peace in this present evil world. The justification of Christ, the expectation of eternal life in the world to come, the comforting Spirit that abides inside, and the knowledge that God is in control of all things.

12/22/21 - God is merciful and longsuffering with the wicked Ahab because he humbles himself at the Word.

During times of great darkness, deception, and wickedness God called and equipped two great prophets to service. By the power of God they wrought great miracles, including the first resurrections found in the Bible. They challenged the prophets of Baal, and boldly withstood the wicked kings and leaders of Israel. We pray the Lord will strengthen and encourage our hearts through the study of their lives.

12/15/21 - God made sovereign choice throughout the Old Testament to preserve Israel, even if that meant destroying other nations. God chose to destroy Egypt in order to rescue Israel from bondage. Similarly God chose to give His only begotten son Jesus as a sacrifice to redeem the elect of God.
