  • Kick-Ass 2
"U mad bro?" - Mike Espy from Welp, That Sucked fills in for Neal as we discuss Kick-Ass 2. We start off by agreeing that the movie isn’t as violent as it’s made out to be, lament that Jim Carrey didn’t have more screentime, praise the cast, delve into spoilers to discuss the movie’s last act, and finish by surprising Mike with the news that there was a post-credits scene. Also: An old friend rejoins the show.

  • Elysium
"Hippos Are Cool" - Kat Jovey from 3KB joins us to discuss Neill Blomkamp’s new movie, Elysium. While we enjoyed the dazzling production design and Sharlto Copley’s unhinged performance as Kruger, we all agree that the heavy-handedness of the story brings down the whole movie.

  • 127 Hours & The Smurfs
"127 Smurfs" - We were without Steve this week, and wonder where he went without telling us, but the show must go on! In honor of reaching episode number 127, we decided to talk about Danny Boyle’s 2010 film, 127 Hours. There wasn’t much to dislike with this one, including an outstanding performance by James Franco. Oh, and we also talked about The Smurfs.

  • The Wolverine
"Facial Herpes" - Video game developer Xander Davis joins us to discuss the latest X-Men movie, The Wolverine. We have high praise for Hugh Jackman’s performance and Jean Grey’s presence in the movie, but the claws come out when discussing the Viper character and the movie’s third act, which we rip to shreds. Also: Neal returns to the show and we try to muddle our way through an episode without a Bingsley.

  • The Conjuring
"Where’s Neal?" - An unsettling movie made way for an unsettling episode this week. Neal is nowhere to be seen, and we suspect Bingsley had something to do with it. We were shaking in our boots as we watched The Conjuring, the latest horror movie from director James Wan. We agreed that this turned out to be a well made movie with really effective suspense, and plenty of creative techniques that made this a breath of fresh air for this genre.

  • Pacific Rim
"Canceling the Apocalypse" - We square off against guest Simon Tatum in this episode, who didn’t like Guillermo del Toro’s new movie, Pacific Rim, while we loved it. The battles between the Jaegers and Kaiju, as well as the interesting dynamic between Raleigh and Mako, were things we loved, while Simon was let down by the script. Also: A member of the show leaves for good, while someone from the past makes an unwelcomed return.

  • The Lone Ranger
“Steve's Narcolepsy” - This week we are joined in studio by Kelly Lynch, who requested we go see The Lone Ranger... and we're still deciding if he will ever be invited back. We all agree the movie was just too long, but Steve reveals that the movie he watched wasn't quite the same movie the rest of us watched. Also, Joe finally professes his love for Miss Bingsley.

  • The Croods & 2001: A Space Odyssey
“Get Your Hands Off My Jordans” - Having little interest in the movies coming out this week, we decided to finally check out The Croods, as well as fulfill a request to review Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. When it came to The Croods, we were all pretty much on the same page... but as for 2001, our opinions were all over the map.

  • World War Z
“Zombies On A Plane” - We sink our teeth into World War Z and praise Brad Pitt’s heroic character, debate whether or not the zombies were depicted well and agree that the movie’s writers never came up with good solutions whenever they wrote themselves into corners. Also, we give out quick scores for This Is The End.
