This conversation was recorded on June 13th, 2024. My wife and I met William and his wife at a garage sale they were hosting just up our street. They were so very kind and invited us to join the neighborhood association meeting. William is a passionate about history and politics and I had a wonderful time getting to know him. He has a book being released later this month and I hope to have him on again to discuss the book in more depth. Enjoy!

Clifton is a local comedian, health care advocate, wedding officiant, and master of ceremonies. He is the founder of the Tandem open mic night and I'm so grateful for his desire to bring people together and create places of community. Joseph is a San Antonio comedian I met through attending various comedy nights. He is originally from Mexico and I'm so glad we got a chance to sit down for awhile. All of these conversations are shorter than I prefer but enjoyable nonetheless. Enjoy!

We're back!
Ian Fucich is a new friend in San Antonio and our first guest since my return to the United States. I met Ian through my good friend Will at a comedy open mic. He is a carpenter and we quickly connected over our common interests in comedy and faith. I am so grateful he was willing to join me and I'm excited to share part of his story!

This conversation was recorded on February 14th, 2024. Mark is a beloved new friend from Sydney and I am so glad he was able to join me for a conversation. Mark kindly officiated my Aussie wedding celebration on January 27th of this year and he did such a phenomenal job. He has known my wife, Rupa, since she was in high school and I feel so honored to have met him and his family. He currently teaches at Moore Theological College in Sydney, Australia and you can read more about his position below.

Mark is married to Tanya, and they have four children: Grace, Simeon, Sophia and Zoe. We all enjoy swimming at the beach, and visiting our family in the country. When Tanya and Mark have a spare moment we like to compete over scrabble or relax over movies. We all worship with the saints at St. Paul’s Anglican church in Canterbury. Mark also serves as the executive editor of the Australian Church Record.
Research interests: include ecclesiastical history, historical theology, and systematic theology, with special focus on the European Reformations. Subjects of particular interest include the English Reformation, and especially the history, theology, manuscripts, and marginalia of the period.
This conversation was recorded on December 4th, 2023. I met Troy at a Friendsgiving celebration here in Sydney. He used to work with Rupa and he is an absolute delight. We discuss a variety of topics, as always, including a significant accident he had in 2020.
