Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11 (secondary verses : Job 1 : 6-12 , Ephesians 1:11-12)

God has the final say. He is all powerful and all things are appropriate under His perfect authority.

Ecclesiastes 2:24-26. We can try spend our lives trying to to manipulate circumstances to get what we think we deserve. Or we can receive the life He wants to surprise us with as a gift from His hand.

What if Solomon's "foolishness" in some of his pursuits in Ecclesiastes was not so much foolishness as forgetfulness? Can we learn anything from his failure to remember who he was?

Ecclesiastes 2:1-17
Pleasure: It diminishes and eludes in direct proportion to how much it is pursued. To be able to enjoy any pleasure is by-product of an entirely different sort of pursuit.
