Romans 7:1-6 (NIV)
This passage mightily describes two ways of facing sin and failure: the principle of Law or the power of the Spirit! I could not be more excited if I were given a Shetland pony and a basket of Twix bars!

Romans 6:15-23
During these opening eight weeks, we’ve layered the bedrock principles of the gospel of grace into our understanding. This week we transition. We begin learning how to put these amazing truths into practice.

This passage is Paul’s final teaching of profound declarative truths before he encourages us to see these truths as the foundation for how we live our lives.

Romans 6:5-11 (ESV)
Paul is preparing us in these next two passages to be ready to apply these profound truths of who God says we are, as the foundation for the way we live.

1. If we trusted that God is right, we are dead to sin. What difference would it make in the way we live?

2. If we trusted that God is right and that our old man (self) is crucified, so then...............what thoughts come to your mind?

Why you shouldn’t listen to the #1 lie the enemies of the gospel tell Christ’s people, and why trusting the gospel of grace will lead you to a far better future than they tell you.
