For various grad school and work-related reasons our normal co-hosts Case Lowe & Mike Spears are both missing in action, but we have one hell of a replacement for them: Joe Lanza from the VOW flagship makes his Open the Voice Gate debut! Joe helps John & Milo break down the somewhat surprising results from the (still unaired) Champions Gate shows, and then all three of them go deep on a show they've actually seen, the March 8th Korakuen. Plus: how many times can Milo threaten to kill Joe in one episode? Why did we break down the entire gimmick history of Dolph Ziggler? OTVG is back for 2017 to celebrate our first anniversary as a podcast, and we start with a long look back at 2016 via the 2016 OTVG Awards! OTVG is back at it again with a post-Christmas episode covering two big DG shows: the 12/20 Korakuen show with the DOI DARTS~~ main event, and Final Gate from Christmas day. Here our thoughts on all the matches from both shows, including some very divergent takes on the controversial Final Gate main event! Plus, some NOAH talk inexplicably runs in and boy howdy does Milo (the artist formerly known as Kay) have some things to say about Atsushi Kotoge.

Meanwhile, we discuss match #2 in our Retro Rewatch Series, as Milo's pick gives us the wonderful gift of the Toryumon Japan 4-way six man from 2003, Crazy MAX vs. Shin M2K vs. Do FIXER vs. Italian Connection! All four hosts are back for our latest episode, and we've got a number of topics to cover.
