Opi & the Bear

This is our first special edition of the podcast for the FBFL. This gives our listeners a chance to say, I don't care about your league, I only want to listen to the diatribe of bullshit that comes out of your mouths when it comes to NFL football. Well, here you go, don't listen to this one then! The 50th edition will be out very soon but for the FBFLers, here's your podcast for our playoff predictions.

We have a strong interview with Richard Lyon, owner of the Gladiators who tells us all about his draft decisions, mistakes he made, good calls he's made and his thoughts about making the playoffs in 2020. We discuss the Storm Troopers and Ninjas at length. We discuss the FBFL post season as the way it looks right now, Opi and Bear both bring new games into the mix to create discussion. Bear defends the Demons with some past stats and asks the secret to sucking all of a sudden.

Friggin' Bear soap box episode!! Goes off on NFL for COVID rules, goes off on QC for not playing the Wednesday afternoon game and goes off on the Storm Troopers for being so damn LUCKY and lastly, he's one aggressive son of a gun during Illinois basketball games!! We give the playoff scenario and Opi spends time talking about the playoffs if we were a points league. We finish with our normal picks but then we also travel into the world of non-tendered free agency and what happened to the chi-town teams.

We bring in Adara Opiola, daughter of Opi and listen to a very intelligent and extended interview about her life as a D1 softball player, we won't apologize for the length because the conversation was a lot of fun! The interview will explain the title! Find out how she's doing since her untimely ACL injury. We make the trifecta picks for Thanksgiving only to make it a two-some thanks to stupid Ravens and COVID. We also find some interesting stats about Turkey Day games. Trade deadline is announced as 0:00 of Monday night which is technically now a Tuesday night game!

Guests are dropping like flies, we had Tater of the Oopsie Daisies all lined up and "work" got in the way which from his standpoint means it was pig slopping time or whatever those hillbillies do these days. We have the NBA draft going as we talked but nobody cared. Listen to Bear's story of throwing a fit when he thought he lost to the Dragons. We really drill down the Bears offensive decisions on 1st-3rd down. Quick comments on Theo leaving the Cubs, the Bear-O-Matic is back in action and lastly, we fail miserably at a movie quote that AJ found.

We lost our guest for the week. We invited Grandpa Behrens of the Bruisers into the house and he got lost on the way. We understand he's now in Coal Valley just wandering around screaming out for Ryan the Producer. We have another reflection on LP and some memories he brought to the group. We also talk about the Seahawks more than the Bears this time and how bad their D is and also try to figure out why coaches don't make changes. We discuss AJ's new move to a old new location.

We put another long one together but for very good reason this time as we lost a FBFL and Halos brother on Sunday, 11/1/2020 senselessly to COVID and try to put together a nice good bye…R.I.P. LP - you will be missed by all of us; We also had a very busy podcast with background grandchildren and wives; Greg Ventris of the Stalkers is our guest and he goes on and on about his stupid Packers but gives us good insight as to why they struggle on defense; Greg also breaks down his man-crushes and finds out how to correct droopy balls.

No guest this week and the podcast crew were mostly sick as AJ had a migraine and Bear is getting over his seasonal sinus infection bullshat. Somehow the Dolphins get brought up quite a bit in this one as we talk about Tua & a few other tidbits. The Opi jinx is in full stride this week and we have the podcast grudge week as Opi takes on the producer while Bear takes his verbal beatdown about the pending loss to the Demons this week.

We talk to Jake about his success in the league and what he does to continue to win. We also chat about Bear just gets picked over and over, was it a jinx or was it a honest picking? Listen and make your own decision! Most importantly we get through this without getting sick to our stomach from guest issues!!
