Inventory and demand are both on their way down as expected for this time of year. Over the next 4-6 weeks expect this hot seller's market to look almost the same as it does today. Right now active inventory for all of Orange County is under 2,200 homes, a record low for this time of year. Typically during the beginning of October we see about 6,400 homes, that is a 194% difference.

The 10-year treasury just hit a 2-month high. When the 10-year goes up, mortgage interest rates tend to follow. If we continue to get good or better than expected economic news over the next two months expect both to continue to rise, slowly, for the rest of the year.
