Though often overlooked, Chronicles has much to teach us. It teaches us about God and his faithfulness, and helps us to remember promises that we still enjoy the blessings of even today. In this lesson we focus on the family of Judah, which led to David, and then focus on David’s desire to build a temple, and God’s promises to him.

We are pleased to begin our Summer Series, focused on the Sermon on the Mount, with our brother John Paul Sucheki from the Plaza Church of Christ in Sumter, SC. Naturally we begin where Jesus began, with statements that reveal who are truly blessed in His kingdom.
As we draw our study of Galatians to a close, we take a look at what we must do with our freedom in Christ. Freedom isn’t just about what we have been set free from, it is what we are set free for, and in these last two chapters, Paul gives us clear direction in how to use our freedom.

Many people know the words of Philippians 4:13, but the context surrounding it reveals the true meaning of Paul’s words. Contentment is not dependent on our circumstances, but in Christ we can learn to be content in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.

Revelation 17-19 focuses on the fall of the entity known as “Babylon.” Chapter 17 primarily helps us to understand exactly what Babylon is, namely the seductive power of Rome (and empire in general), which has enticed many to give allegiance to it, and drinks the blood of those who reject her.
