The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend face a trial of sorts in this episode that sets a theme for Season 3... exploring their past as villains, henchmen, and second-in-commands. We get to see the Monarch's first attempts at arching Dr. Venture, and learn why he hates Phantom Limb so much... outside of all of the obvious reasons.
