Carl Garner, director of psychology and education, speaks about the Emotional Intelligence Mapping tool that he has created. This proactive tool, that resembles London tube map, simplifies complicated emotions for the purpose of enhancing emotional literacy in schools and other types of institutions. Through navigating lines, such as happiness line, anger line, stress line and more, users of the EIM can better understand emotions and make wiser decisions. Carl shares interesting research and examples of how linguistics affect our memories, and the new app being developed based on EIM for more data-based plans to foster engagement, curiosity, and self-regulation in school communities.
