This week's email bulletin!Have you ever heard the words...?I feel like my life is filled with story after story of people telling me not to do this or not to pick up that... I should've listened.  Have you ever felt like that?I have.  When someone warns us they are trying to prevent us from harm or keep us from making a major mistake.  As we near the end of this series, we will be focused on James chapter five and the warnings and encouragements associated with it.We also have "Water Day" tomorrow!  So bring your friends and family members kiddos and have them join our children's ministry as they play in the water during church.  We want to keep making OCC a fun place for kids, families, and young adults who want to be on God's mission!This September we have a new series starting called the God Questions.  I will be preaching on the 6 major questions skeptics have about God and end our series with a panel discussion taking questions from people in the crowd.  It's going to be great!  In addition to that we will have life groups meeting going through the topics and podcasts highlighting key issues.  This will all take place in September.If you need prayer always feel free to send me and email.LISTEN TO THIS WEEK'S SERMON BELOW...

This week's email bulletin!Can you practice what you preach?Boy is this the question in our house...  As a Preacher it is important to me to make sure I practice what I preach.  Somethings are harder than other.  Regardless of how hard it may be to practice the things I preach I want my kids to know that I am doing my best.  I'm doing my best to strive toward worshipping God and live out what the Bible teaches.  This attitude reflects the posture of my heart toward God.  I'm not perfect... I fail at times... And in those moments of failure, I recognize how big the grace of God is.  Isn't that encouraging?This weekend we will talk about what the Bible says about "faith" and "works" and how the two come together.  We will also be taking communion so I invite you to join us as we celebrate our Lord.Don't forget to use the teacher's parking lot in the back of the school as there is a major track meet happening this week.LISTEN TO THIS WEEK'S SERMON BELOW...

Faith really works!There is a lot happening in our world right now.  When we turn on the television things can seem upside down and inside out.  Let me encourage you, it's not new to God or to the Community of believes.  Trials and difficult times have been a way of life for thousands of years to those who call themselves followers of Christ.  This Summer we will study the book of James and learn how one of the first churches dealt with these issues and learn to, not just overcome but thrive.  I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we launch this new series.LISTEN TO THIS WEEK'S SERMON BELOW...
