Episode 26—Reject Bitterness
Have you ever felt controlled by offenses of others or the difficult circumstances of life? Has your heart hardened as you keep remembering and talking about the pain? Let’s dig into the Word and see how relying on God allows us to reject bitterness. Today’s Bible encouragement reveals God will one day right the wrongs of this life. In the meantime, He provides all we need so we don’t become bitter.
About your Host—Annie Yorty
Wife, mother, writer, and speaker, Annie encourages those living through difficult situations to perceive God. Embracing the task of advocacy after the birth of her first child, who has Down syndrome, Annie has led both disability and homeschool organizations for over thirty years to promote understanding and acceptance for individuals with intellectual disabilities. In particular, she loves to connect with other ordinary moms of extraordinary kids.
Annie and her high school sweetheart/Air Force veteran husband, Jeff, have two grown children and one still in process. (Isn’t everyone, really?) Despite significant challenges, her favorite global mission destination is Siberia in February, but she’ll go anywhere God opens the door. She delights in anything crafty or creative except sewing, which she merely tolerates. Annie wishes she had more time to read, learn the piano, crochet, and practice Russian. Her furry beast (aka labradoodle) would like her to spend more time teaching him new tricks.
