In this sermon Pastor Miller looks at both the victory and defeat that took place at Ebenezer. Samuel was the new prophet/judge on the scene and, in contrast to Eli’s sons who led Israel into immorality and blasphemy, he leads Israel to put away false gods and serve the true and living God. In this sermon Pastor Miller notes the significance of feet in Scripture. Throughout the Old Testament and into the New Testament feet carry the symbol of power. Abraham was called to walk through the promise land and later the children of Israel would be promised that everywhere the sole of their foot was placed God would give them the victory. Also when we fall before someone’s feet or sit at their feet we are recognizing their authority and leadership over us. If Christ, as Paul said in Ephesians 1:22, says that all things are under His feet than why don’t we live like that? Have you submitted to the authority of Christ and are you living as a disciple at His feet?
