On Origin: Stories on Creativity # 106 Shae Rookard joins me.

Shae has been writing for as long as she could put sentences together. She says she is never going to stop.  The choices She’s made in her life are the reason she is here today.

All are welcome to her world because:

“Essence defines nothing but is in everything that we experience. Write from experience, in experience, for experience.

Human nature dictates we fight for what we want and need.

And I represent the most primitive… love, the need to belong to something passionate and meaningful. The essence of life.”-- Shae Rookard

Brian Rathbone was, is and will always be an avid reader of fantasy, born in the garden part of The Garden State, far from the New Jersey seen in the Sopranos, farm life shaded his perceptions. Old-world knowledge seemed to separate him from his peers, or perhaps it was the ever-present smell of horse manure.

Corporate America called, but after coming to see the machine running it was broken he started working for himself finally finding the time to write down the story that had been growing in his mind for over a decade.

On this episode of Mirage, Brent Harris joins me again this time we discuss the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The MCU is based on the IP of Marvel comics. The franchise has expanded from the comic books to short films, television series, digital series, and films. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters.

Brent A Harris is a Sidewise Award-nominated author of alternate history. He also writes science fiction, horror, and fantasy.
