In this, the last episode of season one of Orms Air, we hear from a select few of the experts kind enough to join us in conversation as they share with us their thoughts on what it means to be a photographer.

As a conscious content creator Chelsea is no stranger to challenging herself in pushing her own boundaries, nothing shows this more than the admirable challenge she set herself on her recent trip to Iceland. Thread sketcher and fine craftist Danielle Clough joins us in studio this week for a no-holds-barred look into exactly what it takes to discover and follow your creative dreams, the endless uses of pompons en mass and the safety found in the separation between assuming the title of crafter over artist.

We're sure you'll instantly recognise Danielle's work by her bold use of colour and technique, but should you not be sure to check out her Instagram or website for a full look at just how incredible thread sketching can be.

Visual Artist and Musician Amy Ayanda joins us in the Orms Air studio this week where she generously allows us a look into her artistic beginnings, extends some solid advice for those looking to leap into profiting from their art and the importance of showing up for yourself.

As a multi-creative artist, Amy paints and creates multimedia artworks, creates music with her band and imagines and creates a clothing line under the name Lili & Frank. You can find out more about Amy's work and find her purchasable pieces on her website here.

When asked about what music she's listening to recently Amy mentions the following musicians and bands; St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, Billie Eilish, Fiona Apple, Feist and HAIM.

Paintings for Ants creator Lorraine Loots joins us in conversation on this episode of Orms Air where we talk artworks on a miniature scale, accidentally becoming an artist and the importance of supportive social communities.

This week in studio we were treated to the uplifting presence of visual artist Ana Kuni, who shared with us her warrior woman and the transformation she brings about.

We speak about the The Warrior Woman taking the shape of 19-year-old UCT Student Uyinene Mrwetyana, the reasoning behind this creation and the reception it received when it was gifted to the students of Uyinene’s university as a tool of expression. 

Ana mentions the incredible work documentary photographer Joshua Rubin is doing with uplifting and empowering groups of young women.
