Idumbavanam is a story about the lesson that nature and the people living in the forest taught to Idumban, the king of that forest.

குறும்புக்கார குட்டி பையன் பாஷா. அவனுக்கு உணவு கொடுக்க அவன் அம்மா எடுக்கும் பல முயற்சிகள். இறுதியாக எந்த முயற்சியில் வெற்றி அடைந்தார்கள் என்று கதையில் கேட்களாம் வாங்க.

ஓடையைக் கடக்க விரும்பும் ஒரு ஆட்டு குட்டியின் பயமும், பின்பு அதன் தன்னம்பிக்கையில் மேற்கொண்ட முயற்சியும்.

கதையின்  பொருள்: தேவையற்ற பயத்தை விட வேண்டும். முயற்சி திருவினையாக்கும்.
