We got to talk about a film project based on the Vietnam War called, "Every Time the Wind Blew". This film seemed to be a different kind of project especially since neither Susan nor Wayne served in the Vietnam War or military.

Listening to their story of why they are doing this film and what they have learned, brought a different perspective than what one usually hears about the Vietnam War.

You can go to https://www.facebook.com/EveryTimeTheWindBlew to learn more. This project is already underway and is on schedule for an early 2022 release. Thank you Susan and Wayne for talking with me.

June 27th is the first Irreverent Warriors Hike in Puerto Rico and Mario has worked hard to make this a success.

It was great learning about what got Marino into Irreverent Warriors. Mario went to a hike and was taken in about how he felt at home, or part of a tribe.

I think the most interesting aspect is what Mario hope comes out of doing this hike in the future.

There is still time to sign up for a hike. Go to https://www.eventbrite.com/.../irreverent-warriors... to sign up! Thank you Mario for talking with me.

I am thankful for my sponsors Joyce Asack of Asack Real Estate (http://www.asackrealestate.com/) and Mark Holmes of Reaper Detailing and Powerwashing (https://www.facebook.com/reapersdetailing/) for their support of America's Military and Veterans. Shaun Shubert who owns Red Seal Martial Arts (www.redsealma.com) supports Veterans and can get you into fighting shape.

I had Susan Hunter on for #248. The conversation was so good we kept it going. Joan Hunter started Operation Morale Booster during the Vietnam War. Joan Hunter started Operation Morale Booster during the Vietnam War. Operation Morale Booster was where Joan would write letters to soldiers serving in Vietnam during the war. Out of the this began a relationship with Bob Johnson, a soldier serving in the U.S. Army.

Joan's daughter, Susan P. Hunter, wrote 77 Letters about her mother's work and the friendship between Bob and Joan. This friendship was significant because Joan was a white married woman while Bob was single Black man.

As 77 Letters delves into the friendship between Joan and Bob, there are topics of conversation discussed during that time that resonate today. I found this part of the story just as impactful as the work Joan did during the Vietnam War.

Susan has done an amazing job of bringing her mother's legacy and Bob's service to life. You can find out more by going to Amazon to get this fantastic book.

Payton Howie is an emerging artist in the Nashville scene. She is not a new artist however. Payton has been performing since she was five years old.

I was fortunate enough to talk with Payton the day her single "Freedom" dropped on SoundCloud.

Payton believe that being an American is a great thing and those who defend our freedoms should not be forgotten.

This was different for me because usually all you see on the news are the people who don't like America. Payton wanted to be unapologetic that she and her fans appreciate in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Payton seems to think she can convert me to country. We will see how that goes;) I did enjoy the video of "Freedom" you can click here (https://youtu.be/l87U6eKMXns) to watch it on YouTube. The video dropped on Memorial Day which I thought was fitting.

Thanks for talking with me Payton. All the best for your goals in 2021! Go to www.paytonhowie.com to learn more!
