Toei Animation, Kadokawa, along with other big names in animation, are teaming up to provide 3,000 anime titles to Japanese, Chinese, and English audiences by 2022. In this episode, we voice our concerns and our hopes for this ambitious YouTube channel, such as if it will curb the growing desire to torrent or otherwise illegally view anime, and how it could potentially affect big streaming platforms like Crunchyroll and Funimation, potentially revoking streaming rights for successful anime like DragonBall, Code Geass, One Piece, etc. Do you think this YouTube channel will live up to it's hype, or will our dreams of free anime be crushed by greed? R.I.P KissAnime and KissManga. A large part of the anime community has been devastated by the recent take down of the piracy giant. This episode we delve into why anime and manga piracy is so huge in the western world, and how recent changes in the way we get access to content has seemingly brought about this move towards more extreme action against piracy by copyright holders, and how this change has and will continue to affect anime and manga enthusiasts.

We discuss in depth about certain sub-genres found often in Anime and Manga, namely Isekai, as well as the Shonen sub-genre. We talk about how these sub-genres seem to be used more for the sole purpose of profit, rather than using them as an intricate story-telling device, and how sometimes, shows and manga use them unnecessarily, and add nothing to the over-arching story or narrative.

We talk about Yaoi's origins, as well as why it has become so popular across the world, and we give our personal thoughts on the sub-genre, and how it has surfaced in more tradition genres of our era.
