As the fandom divides into Team Charming and Team Mills for this episode, we declare Team Mills! 5 likes and 5 dislikes. We complain about the promo department • We praise Young Cora and Mature Cora • Alex comes out as a Corastiltskin shipper • Bri tweets to Adam • And we discuss Rumple, Regina and double standards

Our recap of episode 15, The Queen is Dead. Since this episode is all about the rival queens and their burdens, we went straight to Shakespeare for this episode title! Topics include Snow's the winner of worst birthday ever, the blood feud between Storybrooke's answers to the Capulets and Montagues (The Mills vs. The Charmings), metaphors! everyone loves metaphors, parallells between Snow, Regina and Emma - all mommy issues, Alex compliments Charming, Cora continues to be a stage mom, and did we really make a Star Wars reference? All this and more. May be language.

Our 5 likes and 5 dislikes for the episode The Queen is Dead. Trust us, we loved this episode, so much to love, very little to dislike! Discussed: Snow and Regina paralleling, Bailee Madison's amazing performance, the abscence of King Leopold, CORA, and more. More on our full recap!

Our February book club episode! If you didn't know, we had a little problem with our internet for over a week, so this went up much later than expected. Once Upon a Time took off for the Oscars but thankfully Once fans do not take any time off! We share voicemails from Kelsey and Bri and Book Club contributions from Erin and Pato. Topics include how Snow and Red's relationship on Once mirrors their fairy tale counterparts, Prince Charming’s insistence on keeping the frozen Snow White around the castle as an art piece, the 2nd part of Sleeping Beauty being a poorly-written sequel, and more. Bri recommends the websites Sur La Lune and Encyclopedia Mythica (pantheon.org)
This time we approach our recap a bit differently and discuss the Enchanted Forest Scenes followed by Storybrooke and Manhattan scenes (11:35). Parallels, why Emma shouldn't trust Neal, how Rumple reminds Alex of The Red Badge of Courage, the social structure of Once Upon a Time and FTL. A shoutout to the spinning wheel, Henry's consistency in approaching family dynamics, Emma's clothing parallels, a Superman II reference and more. Also, Greg is boring.

5 likes and 5 dislikes on our instant reaction to Manhattan. Discussed briefly: acting, the seer, Neal, Rumple’s backstory, the big (dumb) box reveal, etc. Look for more on our full recap.

David’s name is David! Jack and the Beanstalk was really Jacqueline! Secrets and history revealed! Rumple in an airport! Cinnabon gets its product placement mileage. Filler! Discussing the good, the bad, and the really bad about Tiny. Did it all amount to a bunch of beans? We announce our fairy tale book club story selections, and the date of discussion (February 23). Is Anton the new Ariel? The many plotlines of Once and the ones we think are dangling by a thread, we seriously don’t know if Cora was Regina, and Charming and Snow celebrate their goodness – should we? We gotta take this to court: our approach to the adoption issue with contributions from listeners!
Feedback from Michelle, Marcella, Erin, Kelsey, Kelly, Phee, Bri, and Timespacer.

Here’s the deal – that episode was almost all filler. But we didn’t hate it. And it wasn’t the worst episode ever. And we liked it… sort of…maybe.
In this podcast we decide Rumplestiltskin needs to be on the No-Fly list and bemoan how Henry made us want Cinabon. Bri correctly predicted Charming's name was David! And every time there’s a Charming action sequence all Alex can think about is Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out for a Hero!
We invite our listeners to let us know if they cared about the Giant’s backstory and whether they plan to see Jack the Giant Killer at the movies.
For all our deeper thoughts (if we have any) check back in with us for our full recap of Tiny.

(11:40) Voicemail from Kelsey on the future of Regina (18:45) Will Emma go Dark Willow? Is her first love destined to die? (27:00) Is Storybrooke actually Neverland? (31:00) Once again, we ask who wrote The Book?! (34:00) Everything Ruby! (38:44) Does it really make sense that it took Rumple 300 years to enact the curse? How bad was Fairy Tale Land Regina, really? And the Blue Fairy is not that effective! (41:00) What if Henry Sr. is Sancho Panza from Don Quixote? We complain about the three-week hiatus, like everyone else is! We discuss our second book club selection, Wild Orchid, by Cameron Dokey. It’s a retelling of Mulan and we liked it quite a bit. We share some listener feedback about the book, and then we visit with the creator of Once Upon a Time Conversations, “A collection of dialogue summaries and how-it-should-have-happeneds.”
Also up for discussion are:
The kiss – the fandom continues to freak out about Gold and Cora, and Alex admits to being a shipper of “Cold”
Spoilers – do you like them, avoid them, or hate them with a passion?
Our February book club pick – the Brothers Grimm fairy tales! We’ve chosen Snow White and the Miller’s Daughter but we want you to pick a few more for us to discuss!
Discussion of Wild Orchid (8:20 to 24:00)
Interview with Maddie of OUAT Conversations (25:00 to 50:58)
