We're taking on water in Sydney this week but despite the substantial downpours, there is a ray of sunshine in a visit from the Thoresen-Montgomery clan!

Other than that it has been a week of:

• humbling yoga experiences
• football with optimists, and

We sang a song and they gifted us citizenship. It really is that easy.

We have a new country to add to the list of those we call home ("officially") which is a bit of a big deal I suppose.

Otherwise, it was great to see my old mate, Mitch and his growing family, spend some time in Port Stephens and listen to Taylor Swift's new album with a flock of Pelicans.

Wait what?! how is there another episode already? Usually it takes 6 months..

I know, I know. This counts as prolific but is an exceptionally ramble-laden episode so don't get too excited.

It's been a big few weeks:

• Harbord FC are world champions (of the Northern Beaches, AL Division 5)
• I started a new job (listen carefully for the collective sigh of relief from my family), and
• I turned 34...

An over-due (shock) update on our quick trip to Europe.

In just over two weeks we:

• Visited Bulgaria for the first time
• Returned to the homeland and saw a wild sausage
• Attempted to fly from Oslo to Bangkok

Now we have settled back into life in rain-drenched Sydney. Joy.
