Ep 2. Navigating Pregnancy Outside the Mainstream System, and My Water Birth Story
I’m so excited to share my own homebirth story with you exactly one year after it happened.
The first words out of my mouth were, “I know you won’t believe me, but that wasn’t as bad as it sounded”…
I promise you this isn’t the unicorn of births. My story isn’t special, and it is well within the realms of possibility for you too. I also forgot to mention this in the episode, I never once felt any pain in my vagina or perineum…. I swear! Isn’t birth just amazing, and especially if you have no fears.
In this episode I share my entire journey, from wanting a planned cesarean, to conceiving, navigating pregnancy outside of the mainstream medical system. I go on to have an amazing and quick water birth for my first birth, and I also share about my postpartum struggle, what I wish I knew, and what I wish I had done differently .
Here’s a snapshot of my pregnancy and homebirth journey:
[03:58] Why I didn’t tell a lot of people that I was planning a homebirth…
