Psalm 55:22

"Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be broken"

Ezekiel 34:26

"I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers in season, there will be showers of blessings"

In times of fear and distress, may we focus on the gifts Our Father has given. May we give thanks and praise Him. May we share those gifts in community of others and may we do so to glorify Him.

Isiah 32:8

"But a good leader plans to do good, and those good things make him a leader"

We are each called, as children of God, to be leaders in our own way. Espcially in times of hurt, in times of chaos and confusion, may we calm the waters and offer hope. May we be worth Christian leaders by living worthy Christian lives. May we live in the example of Jesus and provide that example to our families, friends, communities, work places, and the world.

Psalms 4:8

"I will lie down and fall asleep in peace because you alone Lord let me live in safety"

It is through connection and routine recognition that belief is built and faith confirmed. This is what gives us peace, gives us rest. May we invite him into our lives and find rest, reassurance, and peace knowing that He is near.

Proverbs 30:5

"All God's words are tried and true; a shield for those who take refuge in him"

God's Holy word is indeed a transforming, life-changing, one of a kind treasure. When we make it a habit to feast on His word daily, we find refute in Him. For men and women of this world, bread is not enough, it is the routine portion of God's word that gives us life.

Psalm 139:7-10

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, If I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast"

In our human condition it is common for us to get lost, feel unrecognized, or unheard in the complexity of our world and in the vastness of our God. But He is always with us and He is always in us. We are His creation and we can find Him in the quiet and stillness of our hearts. It is often in the simplicity of life that we find and connect with Him.

1 Peter 5:6

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time"

As human beings we are usually impatient. We know what we want and that is usually now. But God's timing is on a different timetable and it is always right.

Ephesians 2:8-9

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast"

What did we do to deserve this gift, this amazing chance at life? Nothing. The love and grace of God has always been there, untethered and unconditional.

2 Corinthians 9:17

“Everyone should give whatever they have decided in their heart. They shouldn't give with hesitation, or because of pressure. God loves a cheerful giver.”

So today, consider the many blessings that have been provided you and what is he calling you to give in return. Is it your time, your given talents, or a portion of your worldly treasures? Recognize that these are not yours, but His and they are intended to be shared, not kept in secret. So do so as you are called with love and joy.

Ephesians 4:32

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you”

So if you hold bitterness against even a single person, forgive. Then, to the best of your abilities, forget. It's God's way for us to live.
