  • Episode 67: Griffin's Mission - Mission
“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
    Acts 20:24
What an amazing little boy Griffin was. He touched and inspired me and many others in so many ways and he continues to do so today and I know he will continue to do so for the rest of our lives. I am so proud of the life he lived, of the lessons he taught, the people he touched, the strength and courage that he showed, the community he built, the reminder he served of how precious life is, and the mission he served.

  • Episode 66: Griffin's Mission - New, fulfilled, and everlasting life
“Then he called a little child over to sit among the disciples, and said, “I assure you that if you don’t turn your lives around and become like this little child, you will definitely not enter the kingdom of heaven”
    Matthew 18:2-3
Griffin’s spirit, and his interaction with babies will always remind me that children are filled with joy, love, innocence, and laughter - all things we should cherish children for and things that adults tend to lose sight of as we grow older. But these qualities are the essence of life both here on this earth and in heaven. It is these qualities that both Griffin and Jesus remind us of that is key to living a truly full life and one that is pleasing to Our Father.

  • Episode 65: Griffin's Mission - Community
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
    Matthew 5:13-16
Griffin shared his gifts so that others could find a little bit of joy in their darkest days. He will always be a reminder to me that this life is meant to be lived and shared in the community and service of others, especially to those in need.

  • Episode 64: Griffin's Mission - Brevity of life
“Let me know my end, Lord. How many days do I have left? I want to know how brief my time is.” You’ve made my days so short; my lifetime is like nothing in your eyes. Yes, a human life is nothing but a puff of air!”
    Psalms 39:4-5
There is no doubt that life is precious and it is brief, and like Griffin’s life, it's what we do with it, and in the time we have, that is important. He will always be a reminder for me to not leave “chips on the table” so to speak. To live life in perspective. To live a life of fullness and to leave no regrets of things left undone.

  • Episode 63: Griffin's Mission - Courage
“You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty”
    Samuel 17:45
Griffin’s life is a reminder of the strength and endurance of our human bodies, Our Fathers creation, and more importantly, our human spirits, the result of Our Father’s perfect creation. I am also reminded that a life of fear is not Our Father’s intention. Fear is an instrument of the enemy. Our Father’s intention, in His infinite love, is a life of abundance, of facing our earthly fears, our own modern-day giants, and overcoming them with the courage and perseverance that He has placed in each one of us. I am reminded that the courage and strength Griffin had came from God and that He is our rock and that He is not only always near but He is always here. Even in our toughest times.

  • Episode 62: Griffin's Mission - Creation for a purpose
“Jesus replied, “ You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand”
    John 13:7
So it is in times of loss that instead of asking why and having doubt, we should instead celebrate the life He has given and turn our focus to what. what were the intentions for that life, the gift He has given us? In the case of Griffin, I see the what, the purpose of his earthly life, the mission his heavenly Father gave him, somewhat clearly and I want to share a few of those thoughts with you in the coming days.

  • Episode 61: Fit to Serve
    Corinthians 10:31
“Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the glory of God”
Our challenge, of course, is to resist those unhealthy temptations by every means we can, including prayer. And rest assured: when we ask God for help, He will give it.

  • Episode 60: A Humble Attitude
    Philippians 2:5
“Have this attitude in yourselves, which was also in Christ Jesus”
Our attitude is a choice. The way we view ourselves is a choice. The way we interact with others and the world around us is a choice. So today, may we choose to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. May we choose an attitude of humility and service.

  • Episode 59: Vocation
    Proverbs 22:29
“Do you see a man skilled in his work. He will stand in the presence of kings”
Our Heavenly Father, our Creator, has blessed each of us with a unique set of gifts, talents, and skills. It is his intention that we hone those skills to do good in this world. And when we work diligently on and in our craft, we glorify Him, we serve others, and we will fulfill ourselves.

  • Episode 58: Never Alone
    John 14:19
“After a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me because I live, you will live also. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and You in me, and I in you”
our father is not distant, he is always near. He is a God who understands far better than we ever could the essence of what it means to be human. He understands our hopes, our fears, and our temptations. He understands what it means to be angry. And what it costs to forgive. He knows the heart, the conscience and the soul of every person who ever lived, including you. And although he no longer walks among us, His Spirit remains within us. Now, and for eternity.
