This post regards the following:
Almost everywhere (if not everywhere) in the world has access to the outdoors, at least in some reasonable capacity, for anyone to make use of; on their way to get groceries, visit friends, head to work, and other daily activities, people can make the choice to make some of these trips without being locked into a car; everywhere, except for America, where being a pedestrian is a lonely endeavor and often feels like a political statement and/or dangerous. Being a country with immense amounts of wealth (albeit improperly distributed), this seems absurd that infrastructure has yet to be developed with everyday outdoor activity and the health of the population in mind. In this episode of Our Evening Tea, we explore this situation through our lenses as well-traveled Americans, flabbergasted by the lack of people outside every time we step foot back in the United States.
