A Little More About She Said Yes!

From Their Website: The heart behind She Said Yes is Myka and Lorrel Lyles.

Lorrel and Myka purchased She Said Yes Bridal together in 2014, stepping into ownership with a shared vision to create a place where every bride feels seen, celebrated, and supported.  Over the next decade, Lorrel poured her heart into this business guiding, encouraging, and helping build She Said Yes into the beautiful place it is today.​​  In Spring 2025, Lorrel officially retired to embrace her favorite role yet: full-time Gigi to her growing crew of grandkids.  We are excited to celebrate her as she steps into the new role, her influence is still felt in everything we do!  ​

Myka, originally from Central Arkansas, has been in the bridal industry for over 16 years.  She began her journey at She Said Yes as the store manager and later had the opportunity to purchase the business alongside Lorrel.  Today, she continues to lead with the same heart and purpose that have always defined the shop.

Myka and her husband, Lee, have a 9-year-old son who keeps life fun and full.  You can usually find her somewhere between helping brides find their dream gown, cheering from the sidelines at a game, or savoring a good cup of coffee!

A Podcast + Photo Series About The People of Northwest Arkansas: Our Favorite Villes

It's true! My favorite hobby? It's cut flower gardening. While I started my first garden on a whim (I never watered it) and started my second garden as a bug haven for Henry (totally fell in love!), I started planting cut flowers in 2019 to create bouquets for photo sessions. Since then, we have planted hundreds of plants, thousands of seeds, and over 65 rose bushes. If you love chaos gardening, Northwest Arkansas, and cut flowers, you're in the right place!

Huge shoutout to my husband Andrew for being along for the ride during our episode today! I freaking love him, even if I did once call him a soulless robot, lol.

Amanda is a Central Arkansas native and Northwest Arkansas resident for the last two decades. Known for her strong background in design and love for creative organizing, Amanda began in 2011 as an Event Planner and, within a few months, a plan to start her own planning firm and Amanda Reed Weddings and Events was born. Amanda has both a degree in interior design and years of experience in that field, two elements that contribute to successfully executing a detail-oriented event.

And as someone who's worked on lots of weddings with Amanda + her team? I can just say that she is really freaking awesome. So excited to share this episode with you!

If you know me, you know two things. One! I freaking love photography. Two! I'm obsessed with flea markets, thrift stores, and vintage markets. Like, my perfect day involves hitting at least three in a row with a coffee in hand and, like, fifty bucks to spare. So! This morning, my husband Andrew and I are chatting all about a recent Saturday morning spent with our kids hitting up a few of our favorite flea markets in Northwest Arkansas.

Our family LOVES a thrifty Saturday morning and we hope you love hearing about the fun morning we spent running around to some iconic flea markets native to the Northwest Arkansas area.
