Our God is a God of order. I'm not sure about you, but I'm not always myself when I'm hangry—anger caused by hunger. The crowds willingly followed Jesus, and He was filled with compassion for them. His disciples only offered one solution: to purchase food from the nearby town (with the knowledge they wouldn't have enough money).

Our all-knowing Abba Father had a different remedy.

Jesus taught a powerful lesson about honoring God. We can praise God for what we have and ask our Lord to bless it. We worship a living God and One Who can create plenty out of our insignificant offerings.

I can get overwhelmed managing all the various outlets at my disposal and lose sight of God in the midst. As an entrepreneur, it is easy to get swamped with all the stuff. From managing websites, social media platforms, podcasts, email, and that's before adding consulting services, my day can quickly feel like an onslaught of never-ending work.

While I may not finish everything on my daily to-do list and need to explain why I follow a schedule to those who do not understand my business, I must lean on the Lord. That's when my faith shows up. It's in the small moments when I know I can't do it by myself, and God gives me strength or shows me the right person to contact. I remember that God is there, and He can calm the wind of my doubts.

The Word of God teaches us in the Gospel of Luke 8:16-18 that nothing is hidden. When the Israelites sinned against God by creating a golden calf, Moses destroyed it, ground it into dust, and cast it into the mountain brook-washing away the sin. (Deuteronomy 9:21)

Our Lord Jesus washed our sin away on Calvary. Christ was beaten into the ground, destroyed by hatred, and treated as a castaway. He walked the road leaving a trail of His blood up to the final altar to die. Christ was the slain, unblemished lamb, crucified to free humans from sin. The separation of darkness and light.

Deuteronomy 7:1-8:20 is packed full of miracles the Lord performed for his chosen people.

However, it had absolutely nothing to do with their own merit, numbers, or skills. It was their identity in Him and the promise He made.

He knew that the people would eventually fail to remember the miracle He just performed in their lives like they had in the desert. It was paramount to have these decrees, laws, and commandments written down and shared for generations to come so that they also wouldn't fall into the temptation of boasting themselves up, for no man should boast in themselves. The Lord supplied everything we have been given.

So John called for two of his disciples, 19, and he sent them to the Lord to ask him, "Are you the Messiah we've been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?" 20 John's two disciples found Jesus and said to him, "John the Baptist sent us to ask, 'Are you the Messiah we've been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?'" 21 At that very time, Jesus cured many people of their diseases, illnesses, and evil spirits, and he restored sight to many who were blind. 22 Then he told John's disciples, "Go back to John and tell him what you have seen and heard—the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor."

John the Baptist was critical during Jesus's time. He was a prominent prophet that paved the way for Jesus. Although his upbringing was quite unusual, his ministry was profound, which pointed to Jesus.

Well, sometimes there are leaders and a rising Star. At this current time, John the Baptist was the leader, and Jesus was the increasing Star. That was the confirmation to pass the torch to let him be the focal point. John was preaching about Jesus for years. It's time for Him to "break out of his shell."

🔴 A Blessing Over God's Word 

Bible Reading Luke 6:39-49 and Luke 7:1-10

Lord, we are grateful for your wisdom, for teaching us your ways. Lord, we all have a responsibility to improve ourselves, study God's word, and live by that word. Most time, we are so focused on the issues of others that we can not even see what our problems indeed are.

By us learning daily the Word of God, we can be better prepared for the trials of this world, to have the ability to deliver the Word to the ones in need. We can become humble servants, learn how to Love each other as God loves us.

I am thankful we have a loving God that is patient and shows us grace even when our faith in him wavers. We all hear God speaking to us; we know when we are doing things we shouldn't be. DO YOU UNDERSTAND YET? God knows, God knows our choices but still loves, God knows our faults, but still Loves us, God knows our weakness, but still loves us, and God knows we are going to fail, but still, He loves us. So why not simply live for him? Nobody on this earth will ever love you unconditionally like God.
