Bible Study & Devotional Day 87 (March 28, 2022)
📌 Read Today's Assigned Passages
Guiding Scripture: Luke 8:16-18, “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”
🔴 A Lasting Value
written by Torrie Slaughter
Uncompromising- showing an unwillingness to make concessions to others, especially by changing one's ways or opinions. (single-minded, tenacious, relentless)
Truth is the property of being in accord with fact or reality. The opposite of falsehood. (authenticity, validity)
Hide- use (someone or something) to protect oneself from criticism or punishment, especially in a way considered cowardly or unethical.Uncompromising
The Word of God teaches us in the Gospel of Luke 8:16-18 that nothing is hidden. When the Israelites sinned against God by creating a golden calf, Moses destroyed it, ground it into dust, and cast it into the mountain brook-washing away the sin. (Deuteronomy 9:21)
Our Lord Jesus washed our sin away on Calvary. Christ was beaten into the ground, destroyed by hatred, and treated as a castaway. He walked the road leaving a trail of His blood up to the final altar to die. Christ was the slain, unblemished lamb, crucified to free humans from sin. The separation of darkness and light.
