This week, Bekka and I talk about our initial feelings as we listened to the new Kanye West album, Jesus is King. We talk about the music, how it might fit into greater Christian culture, and his new musical direction. Also ~ I misnamed the Spider-Man movie and it is, in fact, Spider-Man: Far From Home. NOT Spiderverse. So please keep that in mind as you listen, I didn't realize I'd messed that up until editing. Thanks for listening, mistakes and all!

This week we’re sharing the TV shows and movies we’re loving and would recommend as we head into the latter part of 2019. We also talk about our mutual hesitation about movies like Little Women and on the forthcoming movie rendition of Cats, so there’s that too. Also - I attempted to mess with success and buy a new microphone, that I am returning because the audio quality was not what I would have loved. Today’s podcast is more serious and although we don’t anticipate this podcast will go serious in the future per se, we think when something so egregious happens, and especially when it happens close to home, we want to talk about it. We talk about Carson King, the Iowa State Football fan who has raised over $1Million for the Stead Family Children’s Hospital and how during the week of September 23rd, tweets he had made as a 16 year old were made unearthed by the Des Moines Register.  We talk about the story, the “apologies” made by the Register (cough, tone deaf, cough), our thoughts on cancel culture and if we think people can be truly sorry and forgiven for things they did years ago (whether they were teenagers or not).
