    Hello, nerds! We had the opportunity to read Moriah Chavis’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC, “Heart of the Sea” and had a great convo!
    Background on Moriah:
    Moriah is the author of the YA fantasy “Heart of the Sea”. She is also the author of the short stories The Assassin’s Kiss and Thorns of Winter. Moriah is a two-time graduate from the University of South Carolina, with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and a Master’s in Library and Information Science. She indulges in her love of all things bookish by spreading that passion to others as an elementary school librarian. When not reading or writing, she can be found at the bookstore, adding another book to her endless TBR, sewing, or drafting something new. Moriah looks at the world through a writer’s lens, seeing stories in everyday life just waiting to be told and doing her best to be the medium through which they reach the page.

      Julie was born and raised in New York, where she started writing novels as a child. After graduating with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Julie moved to New Jersey to start her career as both a pharmacist and an author. Though Julie loves living by the shore, exploring new places is also a passion of hers, giving her inspiration for her writing. Her travels to Maui largely inspired the setting of her debut novel, “An Element of Darkness”.

    13. Trailer - Our Nerdiest Thing - Season 3

      Hello, fellow nerds! We have been loving our read-a-longs for the podcast, and in fact, we are having so much fun we decided we want to read along with you even more in season 3!

      Yes!  Starting in August, you’ll be able to dive into several books throughout the season.  Whitney, Mindy and Deb will be taking turns choosing different books and authors that we are loving.

      And sometimes we may even mix it up and throw in some fun things to watch and deep dive into, as well.  Keep an eye out for a vampire miniseries!

      We’ll be starting season 3 with the newest from Jennifer L. Armentrout, "A Soul of Ash and Blood", then dive into Lara Buckheit’s "A Realm of Ash and Shadow", and finish up our first trio with "That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon" by Kimberly Lemming.

      TGIF, nerds! This week, we are so excited to introduce you to author Sara DeLaVergne, who writes amazing fantasy literature that we want to dive into again and again!       Background on Sara: Sara is an emerging fantasy author with an MFA in creative writing from Western Colorado University and a BFA from Franklin Pierce University. She has always been a reader, and a story-teller of sorts, with works circling back to the heyday of Fanfiction.net and a popular HP Marauder’s Era fan-fiction that shall never be named. When she is not writing or reading, she is likely sniffing book-themed candles in a totally non-addictive sort of way, collecting custom Funko Pops, or being a dog mom.
