Hello all!
Mental health is increasingly important in a COVID context. Coronavirus has further exacerbated feelings of isolation felt by young women, the our place project hopes to connect them with other like-minded women to foster a sense of community.
On July 4th, 2020, nine public housing towers were placed into a hard lockdown due to rising COVID numbers. They were given no warnings. There were severe mental health episodes with limited access to basic necessities for the first week. This remains the most severe COVID outbreak response implemented in Australia. Catch our host Adriana Ridzwan (@adrianaridzwan) with our two guests: Dima Abdu (@itsdima2u) and Ibtisam Shanino (@ibtisamshanino) discuss the effects of COVID-19 on the public housing community.
