Our Week In Video

As many of us cannot currently get together for a meet-up, we thought it would be a great idea to do a Zoom 'chat-up' with as many of you as possible. 

The first of these 'meet ups' will be Tuesday 7th July at 8pm (BST). We're going to limit it to 20 people, so places will be on a first come, first served basis. 

It will be totally informal, you don't have to be there for the whole hour, just drop in and out as you feel.

In this weeks episode we chat to Mandy Dhillon of wedding production company, Vid Ego.

Mandy began her wedding videography journey 12 years ago, as the UKs first Asian female wedding videographer. She explains to us the sexism she encountered when she first started out and how she overcome this to become the now highly respected and one of the most in demand wedding videographers specialising in the Asian wedding videography market.

So after the absense of a co-host for close on 9 months, in this episode of Our Week in Video I can finally reveal who will be joining me from here on in! 

We also talk about how best practice for meeting clergy at churches and locations in the church where you can place your cameras and microphones to ensure everything is covered.

In the first half of this episode I chat to Andre Foster about his latest purchase, an Atomos Ninja V. He tells me why he bought it and what old kit he sold in order to fund the purchase.

In the 2nd half of the podcast we discuss what kit we'd recommend to those of you that are just starting out in videography. We give our thoughts on first cameras to purchase as well as what lenses we think would suit.

In this weeks podcast I chat with UK based videographer Andre Foster. A few years ago Andre made the decision to close down his successful wedding videography business and slowly make the transition to becoming a freelance wedding videographer.
