I forgot what week it was… Sorry! We lost Rich this week BUT we found Jordan from the Camera Store TV and he was willing to talk all things Sony. He and Chris are heading to New York next week to discover the A7sii and do a quick review whilst they are there. Jordan has played with the FS5 and tells us his thoughts on what he deems to be the newest TCSTV camera to their line up.

We have the legend that is Dave Dugdale back on the show talking about his experiences with the A7rii. What he likes about it and what he doesn’t. We also discuss, albeit briefly, the GH5 and future specs and wish lists to that and the A7sii. 

We are lucky to have Rupert Ward-Lewis on the show. He combines weddings, corporate and TV work into his video life so we ask him about how he juggles things and we talk about wedding issues and a bit of gear as well as the aerial side of life. 

Good old JD (Jordan Drake) from the very popular YouTube channel The Camera Store tells us about his week. Lots of Sony camera time and a tricky edit because of one Sony camera catches my attention. We also have a good old rant about Canon’s terrible business model and how it forces med and low level consumers out of the market. Is this a good or bad move by the giants that are Canon. We question the Canon XC10 market and how we all feel like Canon let us down. It maybe obvious but Canon fan-boys stay away from this one.

We finally get chance to chat with Ben Walton of Ben Walton Films about his experiences taking his A7s to Asia for 10 months. All the while he was creating amazing videos and uploading them for the world to see. A true talent this guy. Rich and I also speak to Ben about wedding edit styles and how we all differ and how we all try and stay away from the latest cliche with regards wedding edits.

I had the pleasure to interview Douglas Ray about his filmmaking and in particular his first ever feature film he has directed “Swansong”. We talk about his journey with the process of influence, process, writing, development of concept and finally the filmmaking process in general.
