We are Maximized Quest. A group of ordinary people who have been playing games together for decades. Ouroboros Chronicles is our D&D Real Play Podcast.

What you can expect from Ouroboros Chronicles:

• A typical D&D Table: Our table probably sounds a lot like a real game, because that's what it is. We aren't scripted, we aren't professionals using D&D to break boundaries, and everything we do you can do at your own table.
• Play by the Rules: While we agree that rules should never get in the way of fun, we're here to play D&D, and if you aren't using the rules, you aren't really playing the game. We use the dice and the rules to shape a story.
• Collaborative Storytelling: While the DM may start the plot, the actions the players take and the roll of the dice will change the story from one session to the next. Like any good D&D game, the story evolves and even the DM has no idea how it will end.
• Comedy and Tragedy: We like to laugh, who doesn't? So even on more serious episodes you'll probably hear us making fools of ourselves and laughing at our own bad jokes, but the overall theme of the story is intended to be more dramatic. That said, the party dictates just how funny they want things to be or how serious they want it to be.
• Rotating Genres: If you stick with us for the long haul you'll find the DM has a habit of shifting genres within D&D, and while the story may go in unexpected directions, he has long term plans to move from a fantasy world into a less traditional D&D setting. There will be some hints on how this might happen throughout the first couple seasons, but however season two ends, season three will introduce the first genre shift, which we're all very excited for.

The party begins to hunt for a second Banser Hek group in Vol Preshtip as tensions rise between the circus and the city as Tula enlists the aid of the local wildlife to help track their quarry.

The party has an encounter with a fortune teller who gives them a glimpse of the past, the present, and the future, tugging at the layers of mystery for each member of the party, including a revelation about Elaine's birth that will have more implications for the future of the country.

After their encounter with the fortune teller has concluded, they run into a familiar face, and then do their best to avoid some terrifying clowns.

The party faces their two biggest challenges yet. The infestation that started in Vol Gresker has spread to Vol Preshtip, and paranoia has the party ready to pull itself apart. Things only grow more dire when the party faces their greatest foe ever; competent guards.

The battle in the streets of Vol Preshtip escalates as a new villain, the Fool, makes a grand entrance. As the party battles for their lives against the continuous onslaught, an old threat resurfaces nearby.

The party is ambushed in the streets of Vol Preshtip as a band of Banser Hek cultists make themselves known. The fight quickly gets out of hand as they are attacked from all directions, but Noma soon realizes he has a special power that can turn the tides, he is completely immune to magic!

Things are just heating up in Vol Preshtip, and more smoke is on the horizon. Will the party be able to douse the flames, or are they just more kindling for the bonfire?

Every show needs a gambling episode, and this is it.

The party learns about the current political climate of Vol Preshtip and find themselves somehow thrust into the role of mediators as they delve a little bit into Tula's past, or, at the very least, they'll learn more about why their adventurous companion is always in debt.
