This week we’re lucky enough to have a chat with Pete O'Keefe, the President of the Sapphire Coast Skatepark Association in NSW. Petes been with the SSA from the very beginning, when he and a couple of mates decided to take matters into their own hands – sick of waiting for council to pull their thumb out.
 From beginning as a Merimbula project Pete tells us how the SSA has expanded and working across the BSVSC so that theres now advocates for Skate Parks everywhere.

This week Megan and I sit down and talk to David Porter. David is running to be on Bega Valley Shire Council just like Karen who we interviewed earlier. David sits down with us and talks about what he thinks the area needs, how councillors should act and explains the different roles in council for us.
If you have ever wondered why council has a mayor David gives us the answer.
He also explains how councillors can be given wrong information, how he's involved in the community here and what he'd like to see be achieved by being a councillor.
