For this Out Takes, we celebrated the SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL and its remarkable queer line up by speaking with a number of ground breaking filmmakers showcasing work at the Festival.
Our first guest was Albanian director Blerta Zeqiri, whose compassionate new film THE MARRIAGE chronicles an unusual love triangle in the shadow of the Kosovo War.
Our second guest was Austrian filmmaker Katharina Muckstein, whose sophomore feature film L’ANIMALE is an unconventional coming of age story about the tension between desire and reason in a closely knit European community.
Our third guest was Australian producer Stef Smith, whose short film BROKEN stars writer-actor Daniel Monks as a gay man who is unsure if it’s his partner or his disability that is causing their relationship to fail.
