Can you be queer AND spiritual?? This is a question so many of us in the LGBTQ+ community faced as many of us have been raised in homes and faiths that taught us the "way we are" is wrong, unacceptable, an abomination, and so many other things that are JUST. NOT. TRUE.

Kalyela Josephs, LGBTQ+ Life & Spiritual coach, joins Megs on the pod today to talk about her coming out journey, as well as her spiritual journey, and how she's made peace with God, herself, and found her purpose as a beautifully made queer person on this earth. She works with clients to help them navigate through limiting beliefs that are holding them back from living out their spirituality, keeping them from realizing their purpose, and limiting their ability to have authentic, fulfilling relationships.

In this episode, we're taking you to church!

Megs sits down with friend-of-the-show, Hannah Strenger to talk about what it was like being raised Catholic, in small-town Wisconsin, and how it's impacted their coming out journeys.

Resolving your sexuality & what you know your authentic truth to be, with the values & "rules" of the faith in which you were raised, can be a very lonely, isolating journey. Luckily, Megs & Hannah have both been on it, and share the things they've enjoyed & carried forward from their faith experiences, as well as the challenging, scary, and sad ones. From pancake breakfasts & parish festivals, to crying in confessionals...the journey has had it all.

Tune in, not necessarily for "answers" about what the right or wrong thing is to do if you're grappling with your faith and how it intersects with your sexuality and personal truth, but for hope, to know you are *not* alone, you're not broken, depraved, or a mistake...but you are meant to be exactly as you are, and you WILL be ok. Hannah & Megs are right there on the journey with you!
