  • A New “Wonder” For Pets
As we explore CES 2016, we'll update you on some of our favorite new creative innovations.

Being obese isn't healthy for anyone--including your dog or cat.

Wondermento Founder and CEO Betsy Fore can help.

Betsy is the creator of WonderWoof and WonderMeow, two new pet wearables at CES 2016, in Las Vegas, this week.

WonderWoof is a smart bow tie, that attaches to a dog's collar.  It looks like a cute accessory--but it's actually a connected activity tracker!  As your dog wears it, you receive information to improve his or her health.

Of course, if you're more of a "cat person", there's also a smart accessory for Fluffy.  Called WonderMeow, the cat activity tracker is about to launch, and you can direct inquiries and pre-orders to this link.

Betsy talked about the creative process of inventing her pet activity trackers, how they work and what fellow "creatives" can learn from her experience.
In this Over Coffee® CES® blend, you'll hear:

    *
    How Betsy came to invent WonderWoof;

  • The Art of Storytelling
For our Christmas hiatus, we'll be rebroadcasting some of our most popular Over Coffee® episodes from 2015.

What would Christmas be without stories?

A very Merry Christmas to you!  As we continue our rebroadcast of the most popular Over Coffee® episodes of 2015, we're delighted to bring you two perspectives on storytelling.

Valerie Geller is the President of Geller Media International, and the author of a number of books on creating powerful radio.  In April, 2015, she released Beyond Powerful Radio: A Communicator's Guide to the Internet Age.

Susanne Whatley is also a gifted storyteller.   A news anchor at Southern California Public Radio, her professional resume includes working as a news anchor at KFI and KFWB, in Los Angeles.  As an L.A. news correspondent, the national radio networks for which she has worked include the Associated Press.

At April's New Media Expo, we had the opportunity to interview both Valerie and Susanne from the show floor--and the subject was storytelling!

  • A Place of Empowerment
For our Christmas hiatus, we'll be rebroadcasting some of our most popular Over Coffee® episodes from 2015.

Filmmaker Jenna Edwards is all about joy and creativity.

But to get there, she had to survive the unthinkable.

Jenna is an IAWTV Red-Carpet film producer,  professional actor, and writer.  She is also the Executive Producer of the new talk show, Wake Up, which premiered in May of 2015.  And in April of 2015, she was one of the speakers on a stand-out panel on "Women in New Media", at New Media Expo.

  • Remaking “The Industry”
For our Christmas hiatus, we'll be rebroadcasting some of our most popular Over Coffee® episodes from 2015.

Kindness and magic aren't necessarily the main elements of Hollywood.

But on filmmaker Jenn Page's sets, they're essentials.

Jenn is a professional actor and director who founded Luminave Films in 2012.   Her goal was to produce films for women to star in, direct, produce--and even work on as crew members, if technical positions are their area of interest.   Luminave's mission is to create positive sets where everyone's welcome to be creative, as projects get completed on time and films that are produced by, for, and/or show women in a positive light.

Jenn 's work has won multiple audience awards at festivals, and two of her short films have sold for distribution, so far.  Currently, she's directing the talk series Wake Up, and in April, she directed and produced the IAWTV Awards at the New Media Expo, in Las Vegas.  (She also hosted a great panel on "Women in New Media"!)

Jenn talked about her background, the experiences that served as a catalyst for her creation of Luminave Films, and her plans for the future.

  • Singing His Heart and Soul

Canadian musician Billy Grima loves songwriting.

Through his original compositions, he explores a lot of other things he loves, as well.

Billy's most recent CD,  Sugar and Cream, takes listeners on a journey of his world.  His warmhearted "You Mean the World to Me" shares his pride in his daughters.   "Pleasure to Have Met You" and "Calendar Girl" provide a look into a rollicking good time.  The thoughtful and haunting "Picture of You and Me" is a tribute to our armed forces--and a reminder of the cost of freedom.

Then, he takes an unflinching journey into a heartbreaking place, with the moving "I Miss You Baby".

Billy is no stranger to recognition for his work.   Since the 1992 release of his first CD, I'm Just Standing, he's received multiple honors, including an Akademia Award for "Pleasure to Have Met You".    But 2015 marked a first-time honor: Best Adult Contemporary Artist, at the 3rd Annual International Music and Entertainment Association Awards!

  • A Giving World

What means the most to you?  And how could you celebrate it by giving back--but not necessarily by giving money?

People are going to be answering that question, all over the world, on Tuesday, December 1.

Tuesday, December 1, 2015, is "Giving Tuesday": a day of global giving.  Founded in 2012 by New York's 92nd Street Y, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, "Giving Tuesday" challenges everyone to find new ways to support their favorite nonprofits.

And it's all about being creative and having fun while giving more.

Some of the ways of being creative?  Well, you could take "unselfies" while volunteering or giving--or enter a brand-new story competition that's part of Giving Tuesday!

Kait Sheridan, Director of Partnerships and Programs at the 92nd Street Y's Center for Innovation and Social Impact, joins Over Coffee® this week to talk about Giving Tuesday and some of the creative ways people are getting involved.
