Dana Diaz was born to a teenage mother out of wedlock who didn't want her but was forced to keep her. Reduced to nothing, she left home during her first year of college and immediately fell for a covert narcissist who promised her the love I never had. Dana married him, who soon verbally and physically abused her much as her father did. She ignored her intuitive sense and married him anyway. During her 25-year-long relationship with him, he used her verbally and emotionally, drained them financially, manipulated her, cheated on her, and took advantage of her sexually. Accordingly, she did not want to engage with him. As retribution, he stalked her and attempted to kidnap their son. The trauma caused her severe illness. By the end of her marriage, she had autoimmune symptoms and lung syndrome resulting from consistently high levels of cortisol. Getting sick made her realize the self-respect and self-love she hadn't had before. Leaving the toxicity of that relationship has allowed her to heal and thrive. She has finally used her education in journalism and psychology from DePaul University to author a book about her experiences, and she is speaking out for other victims of abuse to create awareness about abuse and the need for more justice for victims. Her life of recovery and overcoming inspires others to show them it's never too late to love or live and fulfill their heart's desires. You can learn more about Dana through her book, Gasping for Air: The Stranglehold of Narcissistic Abuse, and on her website: https://danasdiaz.com/.
Nancy Nungari works with organizations that want to capitalize on the power of digital content for customer acquisition and retention. Born and raised in Kenya, Nancy is based in Germany, where she's lived for 25+ years. Growing up on Africa's east coast, as a young girl, she wanted to be a nurse, an air hostess, or a fashion designer. Years later, she went to design college and worked in the fashion industry after moving to Europe. Following a back injury, she left employment, and after recovery, she followed her passion for reading and opened a Christian bookshop in Germany. Then e-commerce exploded, the recession hit, and Amazon became a competitor she couldn't keep up with. So, she wrote and published her first book, closed the shop, and took her business online. Her life has progressed despite adversity. For years, she struggled with emotional pain and a hunger for happiness, peace, and spiritual enlightenment that led her down many dead-end streets. Her search for fulfillment and purpose led to bad choices as she spiraled into addictions, destructive relationships, the occult, and debilitating depression. Then, in her darkest hour, she remembered the Jesus her mother introduced her to as a child. She asked Him for help, and the radical transformation and healing journey began. Today, she credits her achievements while overcoming a traumatic past to God's unconditional love. You can learn more about Nancy at https://www.nagaconsulting.com.

Grace Tran lived much of her early life being self-critical while holding herself to unrealistic expectations. Through a reflective review and her accepting husband, she discovered she was living the life of an imposter. Because of previous interactions, she realized she was impersonating someone she wanted to be but was not. This discovery helped her discover the root cause of her high-functioning anxiety and chronic stress. She found through various therapy sessions she was very hard on herself. She assumed her critical nature was expected because she knew nothing different. Multiple health scares caused her to address the root of her problem. She learned to embrace her flaws and weaknesses through deep self-assessment and practice self-compassion. Previously, she had known through rote behavior traits to suppress and accept self-deprecating thoughts while attempting to overcompensate. She is now on a journey to unlearn the past and learn new thought patterns, leading to healthy self-confidence. She is passing forward her evaluated life experiences. Barbara Walsh is a mom, business owner, and breast cancer survivor. She had a lot of plans for the prime of her life. But, everything changed a few years ago when a routine mammogram revealed a need for a biopsy. She was then given the devasting news, "You have Stage 1 Breast Cancer." The oncologist outlined the standard treatment protocol: surgery, radiation, and chemo, without offering any guarantees that these treatments would completely cure her or prevent the cancer from recurring. As she listened, she felt like her life was spinning out of control. The future now looked like an unstoppable conveyor belt going in and out of hospitals as she endured treatments and lost her hair. She felt completely helpless. To this point in her life, she had been a very compliant "patient." However, she knew it was time to stop, pray – a lot, and seek another option. Through this, she felt led to roll up her sleeves and research. What she learned was literally an answer to her prayers! She learned about the power of nutrition and that a robust immune system is the key to health and healing. Instead of poisoning herself to get well, nourishing her body and rebuilding her immune system to heal made more sense. She knew this was the right path for her. So, she went "all in" with the natural options she had discovered and changed how she ate. Something else incredible happened while making the changes needed to rebuild her immune system! The stubborn weight that she had gained when she hit 50 started to melt away. She had more energy, she felt better, and she looked better than she ever had in her life! And that was just the beginning! Throughout this fantastic process, she kept asking herself: "Why hadn't she heard any of this before? If she had, she probably could have avoided getting cancer in the first place!" Today, she has a clean bill of health! She continues to be a "clean" eater, and she hasn't regained the weight she lost! She believes food's healing power transformed her body and empowered her to overcome cancer – and be her best self! It has been ultimately liberating for her to learn that it is possible to take control of your health naturally, and experience lasting transformation! Now, as a Board-Certified Master Health Coach, she is passionate about helping women do the same! Steve Wilson chronicles a portion of his life beginning at nine. He helped an unsuspecting person while in a movie theater who raped him. Steve immediately dismissed what happened, not knowing if he may have caused the incident. Through many years of his life, having suppressed the incident, he was diagnosed as being type 2 bipolar. For most of his 74 years of life, he has had bipolar disorder. Descending into the depths of suicidal intentions or rising to the high of watching the births of his children, he has endured a roller-coaster life of epic proportions. His memoir, Teetering on a Tightrope: My Bipolar Journey, takes the reader on a chronological journey of emotions recounting his rape, his desire to take his life, and his attempt to kill his father. His book recounts his voyage through therapy and his successes and failures using prescribed psychological medications while highlighting his recovery. Starting in 2016, Steve facilitated two mental health support groups in Phoenix, Arizona. Through his experiences and those of the numerous people with whom he has worked, he considers himself to be knowledgeable on real-life bipolar disorder. His memoir is deeply personal while being a call to action for the reader to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health to be a catalyst to find the support a person needs to resurrect their life.
