Thanks for tuning in today for our second episode of Season 5, themed “I Cannot but Jesus in Me Can,” words that were once spoke by Holocaust survivor and Christian, Corrie Ten Boom. One of the greatest lessons that Corrie spoke of was that because of Christ in her, she was enabled to forgive one of her once Nazi captors. Corrie traveled the world for 30 plus years after the war sharing this lesson of forgiveness made possible through Christ.
As Christians we can become equipped and enabled to extend Christ’s forgiveness to others but then can find it hard to receive that same forgiveness for our own sins and short-comings. We become our own worst enemy held back by guilt and shame. Today, my friend Chris Segers joins me to share her story of overcoming her past and how God has enabled her to live a life of freedom from guilt and shame to love Him and serve others.
