Most car companies now have a new measure of how good their vehicle is. It's not just the power of the engine or the speed it can reach or the acceleration. It's the number and size of screens in the vehicle, with an emphasis on the quantity of information that can be shown.

There's the dials and information screen in front of the driver, the centre console with the infotainment system and, if you are lucky, the heads up display.

But is it a matter of how much information, or perhaps how effective the necessary information in communicated.

Last week we had a news story about the 75th anniversary of the first Land Rover to start work on the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric scheme. Rogan Corbett is the president of the Cooma Car Club that runs anniversary events. To celebrate this momentous aspect and development, I think not only of a pro. Project but of a car here in Australia. He joins us on the line now. Good day, Rogan David. The preparation now to go to the snowy Mountains means carrying snow change, which you might have to suffer the imposition of turning off the entertainment system, getting out of the car to fit them in the special laybys provided on the side of a sealed Rd. The conditions would have been a bit tougher back then, wouldn't they?
